This is the perfect mattress foundation. Easy to move into or around your house, especially for downstairs bedrooms, or upstairs for that matter ... if you need to navigate a stairway, these are the mattress foundations for you!! Come folded with the cover already installed, but unzipped. Having the cover unzipped allows you to unfold the metal frame without having to remove the covers. Simply carry over to the bed frame, unfold, zip the cover and put into place ... BOOOM! your ready for the mattress!! Could absolutely not be more convenient and easy to assemble and use. Lastly, provides firm support for your mattress and provides that extra hight to the mattress that makes it more comfortable to sit on the bedside, giving you a better hight for making the bed, etc. I use them in two bedrooms and love them. Wow. This box springs was so easy! We have a small town house. We had difficulty moving a regular box springs we had from one city to our current house so I saw this on Amazon. It looked way too easy to be true. But it totally was unbelievably easy to get in the front door and up the staircase. No problem maneuvering around the landing and into the bedroom. 5 minutes to unbox and 5 minutes to assemble. It fit the frame perfectly.     • Make sure you place the top facing UP!

Warning right off the top: there is a RIGHT WAY and an ABSOLUTE WRONG WAY to place the Zinus Jayanna 9 Inch BiFold Box Spring. Before that, make sure you have a sturdy bed frame, preferably with center support (at least one solid bar in the middle with risers). Without that, no box spring and mattress combination will feel right (and may eventually give way in the middle, like my old bed and mattress). Like others have said, this set requires no assembly. However, it's vitally important that you place it correctly. After you unpack it, you can choose to fold the sides down to the ground. If you do it this way, the box spring is UPSIDE DOWN. You'll have to flip it until it says "TOP" and zip the fabric closed. The "TOP" sign should go to the head of your bed on the frame. If you unfold it where the center lowers to the ground, it’s already facing in the right direction. If you do like I originally did, and put the bottom side up, once you place your mattress on top (no matter how good), you will feel slight dips at the sides. Trust me, place it in the right orientation and you'll feel firmness throughout your mattress, even and old, beat-up one. Again, the zipper side (with the "TOP" side showing) should be facing up towards you as you're looking down at it. I'm guessing one of the reviewers who gave this product a low score had the frame in the wrong direction and it probably broke because of this. The vendor says all sizes greater than twin can support up to 500 pounds, so you shouldn't really anticipate any structural failure. This box spring set with my current well-supported bed frame is already feeling much better than my old wooden one with a deficient frame.
