This bed is well made. It is more than I expected for the price. It's very attractive as well. I generally am the person in my friend group that people ask to assemble furniture, lol. I'm very visual and mechanical. This bed was technically very easy to assemble, but there were a couple of errors in the directions. Bolts S connected headboard to frame, not foot corners( too long, use the shorter bolts in package) . Also, when assembling the foot corners, unscrew the pivoting bolts slightly for them to seat and then tighten. If those small things have been corrected or added to the directions it would have been a breeze. As it was it took me a few minutes to figure out what was going on but after that the bed assembled quickly. Once it was assembled I was impressed with how well designed and sturdy it was, and appreciate the way that the slats velcro into place quickly and won't slide around they do on other beds I've owned. The bed does have substantial room underneath for storage, if you like to keep clothes or shoes in those rollaway storage bins under the bed. I have a fairly thick mattress with a mattress topper and when that was added it does make the top of the bed seemed quite tall. It's something to consider if you want a lower profile bed. I'm going to have to buy a different nightstands because currently the one I have is much too low for the height of the bed +thicker mattress. I think if you had a futon type mattress it would be a more average height. ... show more

I was looking for an affordable and noise-free solution for my bedroom. The bed frame does live up to its promise. it's budget-friendly and remarkably quiet. Assembly was straightforward, and the wood slat support provides a sturdy foundation. However, I noticed that the bed frame tends to slide around a bit without furniture stoppers. To enhance stability, I recommend purchasing furniture stoppers along with this frame. Once that minor issue is addressed, it's a solid choice for those on a budget ... show more

First of all this is my second Zinus bed frame. I bought one a couple years ago and was absolutely so impressed by how well marked and well instructed the assembly information was. This has changed. The previous frame had every hole and every piece marked with a letter or a number. It went together so easy and so fast. This one, however, there was no markings on the pieces at all, only labels on a few of the connections. You have to figure how the pieces come together based on the shape in a very minimal graphic-only instructions. I could go on, but the big issue was that there was one piece at the headboard that should have been indicated that there was a direction to it, as neither the connectors #s, nor the graphics addessed this. This would not have been an issue had they marked it as well as they had the last Zinus bed frame that I purchased. Added about 30 minutes to undo, flip it, and reconnect. Took about 2 hours total to put together, one person. My previous frame went together in about half that because it was so well marked, no pondering about which part goes where. Other than that, I have no complaints on the frame. It's well made, looks sturdy, and really nice. It's a good quality for the price. I just wish I could laud their assembly instructions like I did for my previous bed frame. It was certainly a big part of why I went with a Zinus again this time around. All they need to do label all of them like they used to! ... show more

This bed frame was wicked easy to put together and felt sturdy considering it wasn’t that heavy. No box spring needed and has a sleek, black look. Came with a little socket allen wrench thingy-majig so I didn’t need any outside tools and the instructions were pretty clear. The only possibly negative thing is that after 1 year of use I am moving and needed to disassemble the frame, the tape strips were so strong they tore off parts of my mattress cover. The tape is strong, which is ideal, but just be careful! Solid frame though, I’d recommend it! ... show more
