    • Intuitive assembly, with one minor tweak

The bed frame it's self was relatively easy to assemble, up until it came time to put the slats in. A few appeared to be too short. This wasn't an issue with the slats being to short, but it was an issue with the frame not being straight. I managed to get it to work though. I took a ratchet strap and squeezed the frame together slightly. Once I did that, the slats locked in and held the frame into 100position. I write this as I just assembled the bed an hour ago. Will update it if I encounter any sturdiness issues. It appears to be pretty solid though. If I am unhappy with it, it is not fitting back in the original box. The level of tetris that was played in order to pack this thing was a masterpiece. ... show more

great look, HOWEVER....the frame is too low, dissappointomg. i needed a box spring. for height. ALSO, gave it a 4...the photo is somewhat deceptive, the pillow is very small, & with no box spring, the headboard i s very short. I stil like the set, but if you need height, you will need risers or a box sprng. i bought a full and a twin size. ... show more

I've purchased other Zinus products and am still happy with the brand. The bed went together easily, and is very sturdy. My only problem was, when unpacked the pieces were labeled with numbers but the instructions had letters so it took a good minute to figure it out. Once that happened it was fine. You should be aware that the bed is low to the floor, More than we realized. Purchased some risers to take care of that ... show more

I love these beds and both of my boys do too. Shipping was fast and came on time. No damage on the boxes at all. The only dislike I had is that I had to match the alphabets with the pamphlet in order to put the bed together. I feel like they should’ve put the numbers & alphabets on the materials. The first bed took me about 45 minutes. The second bed, I immediately zoomed through. I do agree with others that the bed slides. I ended up putting my kids box spring on the bottom so it wouldn’t slide at all. Plus it sits up higher. The bed OVERALL is nice and sturdy! I’m glad it’s metal. It holds very good. I was able to use all materials that came to put the bed together. The measurements are kind of thrown off but I got it all together. ... show more

I love how sturdy this bed frame is! Very easy to assemble and I can tell it will be easy to move whenever that time comes. It’s the perfect height for someone short like me (5’0). It’s great with a thick mattress (mine is 14”) or a thinner mattress with box spring. I would have given 5 stars, however there is one big issue. Only 4 of the bamboo/wood pieces actually fit the frame. The rest were a tad too short. I’m really jealous of everyone else that had fitting pieces because it looks so great. For the price, this will suffice.. but it would be nice if quality control checked the length of these things more carefully. I’m disappointed but the rest of the good points make up for the bad ... show more

This is a good bed frame / headboard combo for the price. It wasn't extremely easy to out together, but it wasn't too difficult either. Problem is, the pieces themselves are not marked. The instructions indicate you should have pieces A, B, C and so on, but the actual parts are not marked with letters. However, pieces that connect together by screws are numbered -i e., you match the 5 on one piece to the 5 on the 2nd piece and then attach them with screws. The biggest disappointment is that there is no kind of lip or "catch" on the frame to keep the mattress from sliding. And being on a metal frame, the mattress moves quite easily. The picture shows that the frame is 11" high, but that's not accurate. Ours measures less than 9", and with our 10 inch mattress added, our bed height is just over 18 inches - so very low for a bed. Just keep that in mind - not great from a taller person. But all in all, it works. Our bedroom is very small, 7' 8" x 9' 6", and our bed is queen. But this fits nicely. ... show more
