Our guestroom queen platform bed wooden support slats were falling apart. I just got a new expensive mattress for the bed and read that metal bunkie board would provide more support and keep the mattress healthier for longer. After reading the reviews on this ZINUS metal bunkie board, I ordered it. It took a couple of days longer than I expected to receive it but it was during the holiday madness. Arrived in 1 long, flat box. All the pieces were there. Instructions were clear, and it was SO quick and easy to assemble! Everything clicked into place and nothing was defective or the wrong size etc. It fit well in the queen platform bed frame. There was maybe an inch or less of space between the bunkie board and edge of the platform, but it did not slide around. The mattress fit exactly in the platform frame so it did not slide around on the bunkie board so I did not have to use the adhesive on some of the slats that were supposed to hold the mattress in place. All in all, it was a great product that was very easy for 1 person to assemble, and it did exactly what it was supposed to do for a GREAT price! I have no complaints.

This was one of the best purchases that I have ever made on Amazon. I had wooden bed slats that were constantly slipping off and so I would have to pull them back to be on top of the metal ridge supporting them. Making things worse is that I have a bedjet powerlayer adjustable bed frame on top, so that was no easy feat. But this bunkie board totally solved my problems here. Assembly was super simple and the rubberized connections make the bed super quiet. It feels very supportive. The hardest thing to do was to lift off and on my powerlayer but that that is no fault of the bunkie board. The only caution I have is to make sure your ridge or whatever this will sit is wide enough and your measurements are correct. The board just sits flush on the inner edges of the ridges in my case but it’s important to that the right width here. Anyway the quality and durability of this board seems outstanding after months of use. I would recommend this 100% for anyone needing slat replacement or wanting a more solid foundation to a frame.

I have one of those fabric bed frames with fabric headboard. Its really beautiful. However the boarder frame on the inside that goes around the inside of the bed where u put the slats down is wood. I've had 2 of these bed frame beds and both had wood slats. One came with a ton of slats and the other came with only 4. The wood slats broke on the first bed, they arent very good for these beds in my opinion. Not strong and sturdy wood slats at all. But my point is this product is a perfect solution. I ended up throwing out the frame on the bed that broke because where the breaks were it couldnt be salvaged. I didnt want that to happen with bed number 2. I put the frame together and the 4 weak slats. Then this product came to mind. My first bed was a regular mattress and I guess the wood slats replace box spring so I didnt have box spring. The mattress was older and everyone in my house had a memory foam mattress so I finally upgraded. I have a queen frame and queen mattress. Not only was I worried these weak wood slats wood break again but my mattress was sinking between the slats. Everything felt like a horrible nightmare bedtime wise. This product saved me. It was completely simple and quick to put together. You simply attach each side together to form the rectangle board frame. All hardware and tools are included. Only took a few minutes to do. Then you just snap all the slats in. The just push down into all the little openings, you dont even have to mess with twisting and turning more screws. I hate putting furniture together but this was a simple fast easy breeze. I laid this board right over the wood slats and it damn near was a perfect fit. The length is perfect fit for a queen bed. I gave 4 stars and would have gave 5 stars but I found one issue. Now this holds my mattress up where its supposed to be, no more sinking and unevenness. The bed supports it well, everything is strong and sturdy. 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the width. Its a little short but not by much at all. I couldnt find anything with a tad bit bigger width that I needed and all descriptions with these measurements said its for the average standard size queen so I just took my chances. Its still enough for me to love it and keep it but if I had to guess I'd say it could be about a centimeter to a half inch longer in width and it would have fit right in snuggly. This is why I had to lay it over the wood slates or one side wouldnt sit up properly on the wood boarder on the inside frame. It was either the description or other reviews that said laying it over the current frame/slats was fine and it is. Hope this info helps. I'd buy again if another bed in the house has issues with the wood slats again

I bought a brand new Ikea bed when I moved, as well as a new mattress (from mattress firm). Immediately after getting the mattress on the bed frame (was fine on the floor) I started to notice that I was having a lot of fitful sleep & back pain. The Ikea slats are two lines of slats that are bowed upwards, creating a divot in the middle of the frame, which according to reddit has ruined people's mattresses over time. I went back to get their more expensive slats & immediately put it back in the box to return when I saw the slats were ALSO BOWED! I turned to Amazon and their trusty reviews to find this metal box spring replacement & it did not disappoint! It was SO EASY to put together. The only issue, which was listed in prev reviews, is that it slides a bit in the bed (longwise from head to toe of frame). BUT, a trusty reviewer stated that they just used some of the packing material foam bricks to shove in the space at the foot of the bed to keep it still & honesty, it was a perfect fit! I would highly suggest to get this frame & just use the packaging to fill in the little inch or so space to keep it from moving. My back is already happier & this was cheaper than the expensive Ikea slats that still don't work. If you're waiting for a sign to fix your crappy Ikea slats without having to get rid of the pretty frame, GET THIS!

I am so pleased with this purchase. I read all the reviews and was a little afraid it wouldn't fit, but I measured the exact width of my queen frame and the maximum and minimum it could be adjusted to and decided that it would probably work. It fit perfectly, and now I have my mattress up off of the floor and in my bed frame I needed this queen Bunkie board because I couldn't get a queen box spring into my apartment the way the stairs and the turn and whatnot It was really easy to put together and the little tool, a ratcheting allen wrench is just super cool and so useful for other things I went and bought some cushiony tape to put on my frame so there wouldn't be metal against metalascraping as anotber person recommended...and I also cut three pieces of wood the exact height between the floor and the bottom of this bunky board so I could put those three in the middle (top, bottom, & center) & give some support to the middle of the bed.....on my bed there is no rail for the top and bottom, just side rails to hold the bunkieboard frame( I drilled a hole in the 5 in boards and put a zip tie through it and the center beam of the Bunkie board I don't know if the cushioning tape was necessary, but seems like a good idea, although I apparently bought two sided and I think one sided is better, but I just didn't take the backing off of the top side Lastly I wanted to say that this company not only gave a really cool ratcheting allen wrench tool with the Bunkie board, and extra bolts and parts needed, they also included these just random note cards to use like four friends and thank yous...weird, but sweet

I have an antique brass bed that belonged to my grandmother for most of her life. It is very dear to me. But we had to modify the underside of the bed due to the flat side support bars the bed rests on. Without the box springs, the mattress would fall through. but with the box springs lifted the bed high, so I needed a step stool to get into bed. The process of climbing into bed threw my hips and back out of alignment. Finally after several nights of severe pain, I ordered the bunkie board. As I unboxed the frame, I laid out the sides and the supports across the bed and told myself it would be too short. But I decided to put it together and see what happened. IT WORKED! It is so easy to assemble and It fit inside my frame perfectly. I did have concerns because of the flat side bars in several places that the frame would slip. I finally decided to the bunkie frame to the side frame using painters tape, then I covered the painters tape with two layers of Gator Duct tape. From experience, I learned that this technique with tape is easy to remove with no sticky residue to remove.. The gator tape is very strong so I am confident I will never end with my bed tipping sideways in the middle of the night. Once of that is enough for a lifetime. Overall this is a great product at a great price. Also, if a person is concerned about whether this will fit or not, it is covered. If it doesn't fit, just let them know, re-box it, and print out the label. There would be free shipping if it was a certain size but it doesn't fit the bed it is specified for. I see some reviews that complained they could not return it, but it is. Read the specifics on the right side of the add.

This was incredibly easy to put together. I’d say it took about 5 minutes. Not only that, it comes with two different allen wrench tools, one of them a ratcheting device. SO nice! It fit my queen size bed frame perfectly. It’s got lots of slats to distribute the weight to, so that’s great. I instantly noticed that the bed felt more stable, sturdy, and less squeaky. I highly recommend it.
