  • Easy to assemble
Color: Rustic Pine Size: Full Style: Standard
It's been about 2 wks since my platform bed arrived. The frame arrived a day early than expected, the box was in good condition. Since the box was very heavy for me being a senior woman and me living in a 2 story home I had to open the box near the stairs and carry the wood pieces up separately which wasn't a big deal.. All the nuts and bolts came labeled on a piece of cardboard that was shrink wrapped so you didn't loose anything. There was a wrench to screw things together. After reading the instruction which were easy to understand I laid out all wooden parts where they should go and then started putting it together. It took me about half hour to compete the bed and that included taking the time to read the instructions. The slats fit great, when you go to put the slats on start on the end that you fit in the wooden pegs and work your way out from there it makes it much easier to spread them out and stretch out the Velcro so it doesn't bunch up on you. So far there is no noise and the legs of the bed are nice and sturdy. I got the wood in Rustic Pine I love the color not to dark or too light. I didn't take the tape off the top of the wooden slats to keep the bed from moving. What I used is that rubber type liner you would use in utensil drawers, you can buy it at walmart in a roll for about $6 that works great in keeping the mattress from sliding. I just took that mat and laid it about a foot from the top of frame and stopped a foot from the bottom. I ran it right down the middle of the wooden slats. With hybrid mattress you should turn the mattress once a month to keep the side you sleep on from making your body impression especially if you are the only one sleeping on the bed and with using the sticky tape that comes on the wooden slats after awhile the material from the bottom of the mattress will make the tape less sticky so using the rubber mat you won't have that problem. I hope you enjoy the bed frame it's easy to put together and very sturdy. ... show more

  • Six stars!
Color: Natural Size: King Style: Standard
This is our 2nd Zinus frame. Overall quality, design, engineering, and packaging are honestly a textbook example of excellence in manufacturing. We really love the simple elegance and finish options too. I've literally assembled hundreds of similar furniture pieces, and this is by far the most impressive one I've seen to date. Double boxed; foam packing wrapped in plastic to avoid a mess; individually wrapped (and labeled) pieces; instructions that can easily be read and followed; spare parts included; a two-way ratchet tool. INCONCEIVABLE! Our 1st frame is a king size, and it securely supports a rather hefty 14" DreamCloud hybrid memory foam mattress with no sagging or moving around. Unlike other beds we’ve owned in the past, the pegs and connected slats on the Zinus prevent the slats from sliding so they stay put and don’t need adjusted. This is a huge plus considering the weight and density of most mattresses on the market today. ... show more

  • Nice and Sturdy!
Color: Natural Size: Queen Style: Standard
My wife and i got this for our new apartment, we have an IKEA mattress and didnt want to pay a fortune on a whole set so we went for the cheaper alternative. Its recommended 2 people lift and build this but i was able to do it alone, instructions are very simple and straightforward as well as comes with the tools needed. The boards that are actually holding the bed do feel a bit flimsy but so far as of now from purchase it has held its own. Its holding a weight of two people roughly 400 pounds together. It has a very good lift hight with more than enough to store various objects underneath the bed and enough space to crawl under. Definitley would purchase a second one in the future. ... show more

  • Fun with Furniture, lol
Color: Rustic Pine Size: Full Style: with Wood Headboard
First, many thanks to the reviewers before me. It gave me a good idea of what was awaiting for me. Kudos to the Amazon delivery guy, I have never received a package at 7am! (Normally after 5pm) but I had to go to work so I just brought it inside and unpacked the box. I got home from work and started to assemble in my living room, I figured I would bring it upstairs in parts as I complete them. It really wasn’t too difficult, I had to look at the instructions and figure them out because there were numbers all over the parts. I figured out that even though a piece had “1” on it, it wasn’t part 1 but part 1 gets screwed in to that piece. As I went through the assembly, I didn’t tighten everything up, the bolts were mostly tight but I left some slack in everything. Once all the pieces were in place, I did the final tightening of the bolts. In all, in my lackadaisical manner, I was finished in about an hour, hour and 15 minutes. The real challenge for me was the slats, well not really the slats but the Velcro, lol. The first slat gets connected to dowels on the bed and then I pulled a little and then placed the second slat, then the third. Etc. The second set of slats went much easier once I had the hang of it. From your comments: The Tool is Cool! Don’t lose it :-) It’s pretty much a mini ratchet wrench. It also comes with an allen key but the ratchet wrench makes it so much easier. If you ever lose the took, you can probably just use a ratchet wrench with the correct Allen key. I noticed some people mentioned that they have to tighten up the bolts after a month or so. I’m only writing this on day 3 so I haven’t had that issue yet. I was tossing around getting some Loctite and applying it when I was in the process of assembling the bed but then I figured I wouldn’t jump the gun, I would wait to see if the bolts do get loose. Coincidentally, I checked the instructions on Locktite and they said to heat your “bolt” up to 135 degrees to loosen a bolt, that may not be an option on the bed. Permatex makes “Screw Glue” which I will likely go out and purchase if the bolts/screws don’t hold. Another person mentioned the legs may be uneven. Another person mentioned a leg got bent and scratched their new wood floor. I am keeping this in mind. I’m tossing around a rug to go under the bed or might use felt pads under the legs. I don’t want to discount anyones review so I am just being prepared :-) I really didn’t see any blemishes on the product but know I purchased this based on the price point. It’s a reasonably inexpensive frame/headboard and I’m not expecting it to be perfect. What else? I have an air vent by the wall that prevents me from placing the bed directly against the wall. I have it pushed away from the wall about 12 inches, just in case, I placed a squared frame lamp behind it, I will likely look for some 12” cubbies to fill the rest of the space. Anywho… I’m 3 days in, I will update this if anything comes up. I am using this frame along with a Nectar mattress. (Size: Full). Hope my review helps. (Edit #1: Spelling!) ... show more

  • Love
Color: Rustic Pine Size: Full Style: with Wood Headboard
Recently purchased for my toddler’s big boy room. It was package nicely and the Styrofoam had plastic around. There was no mess whenever unboxing the pieces. Instructions were clear and hardware was package nicely. It took me about 30 to 45 minutes to assemble. Very impressed with the quality and the price. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I purchased the pine color for reference in the photo. ... show more
