  • worked well for us.
Size: King Pattern Name: Wood Slat
pretty easy to put together. good in place of box spring as long as you dont mind lower profile. wish the slats had adjustible spring so you could make them less or more firm, but after one month use seems to be working well.

  • No more squeaking
Size: King Pattern Name: Wood Slat
Stopped our bed from squeaking. Took off a star because not all of the screws fit flush into the frame. Had this exact issue with the last zinus product I bought - sub par manufacturing.

  • Sturdy and low profile, but don't use the non-slip feature
Size: Full Pattern Name: Wood Slat
I bought a new mattress, and combined with my four inch foundation, it was a bit too high for my bed. I replaced it with this bunkie board, and it lowered it about 2.5 inches, which brought my bedspread back down to a couple of inches above the floor. I have a Wesley Allen iron bed which has multiple center legs, but only a few support bars running across the bed, so slats of some sort are definitely required. This fit perfectly between the rails of the bed - actually, it was a bit of a tight fit, which is good, as that means it stays in place. The top of the board is about .25 inches above the side rails of the bed frame. Two of the slats have a "non-slip surface" on them to help hold the mattress in place. You are supposed to peel off a protective decal to reveal the surface below. I did this, and I don't recommend that you do so. It isn't a friction foam or anything like that, it is an adhesive surface. I rotated the new mattress for the first time today, and when I pulled the mattress up, those slats came with it, and left marks on the underside of the mattress when I pulled the slats off of the fabric. I then had to completely remove the mattress from the bed and re-place the slats as the adhesive was stronger than the velcro. Fortunately the fabric didn't tear. I still had the decals from when I pulled them off - thank goodness I am lazy, so I covered the adhesive as best I could before putting the mattress back on the bed. That is the only negative thing I have to say, as this is nice and sturdy, has good slat spacing, and nice wide slats, with a center support rail running down the middle of the unit, and the price is good. If you need a low profile foundation for a tall mattress, I highly recommend this one - just don't uncover that adhesive. ... show more

  • King Size: Mostly great-just one con, but crucial!
Size: King Pattern Name: Wood Slat
The metal frame works very well and the velcro is intuitive. The wooden slats are great quality. However, the frame being 75.5 wide and not 76 makes a SUBSTANTIAL difference. After putting the bed back, one of the corners slid out when the bed frame's side railing moved. Lucky for me, I had expandable legs that I then installed in the four corners as both extra support and a failsafe for the rails. I would kindly ask that the company make the railings 76 inches wide or at least 75.875 to compensate. I'm very satisfied overall with the quality, the simplicity, and quickness of the installation. ... show more

  • Must have for Casper Mattress
Size: King Pattern Name: Wood Slat
With our most recent upgrade to a foam memory mattress (Casper), I learned that my old box spring would not cut it for support. I had been trying to find a bunkie board that could be placed on top of my box spring that would not add too much height. I was pleasantly suprised by my purchase. This was very easy to assemble and I just placed it over the box spring and then placed the memory foam mattress on top. No sag and great support. The wood product seems solid with high quality material. I would definitely recommend if you are in the same situation I was. ... show more

  • Great Bunkie for mattress in a box
Size: Full Pattern Name: Wood Slat
Purchase for a college student apartment to support her mattress in a box. Assembly was fairly straightforward. Assemble in minutes. I liked there was tools included including a ratchet. That was really a plus for not needing to open my tool bag to assemble. The slats were assembled in two groups and connected with velcro making for easy assembly, no movement of the slats and easy disassembly, movement, and storage when as have to move the student at the end to the semester. Support of the mattress in a box, the student is still raving the comfort and support of the bunkie, no noise, nor slat movement. I would have given this bunkie 5 stars however the packing and shipping were the worse, every zip-tie holding the metal support were snapped, every box seal and plastic wrap was broken. When I opened the box everything just fail out as if there were no packing. I had to correct a couple of pieces of the frame that were bent. However it did not prevent the frame from being assembled it cost time and if would have had the bunkie shipped to the student's apartment for her to assemble she would not have been able to get that done. SO, I recommend this product and highly recommend if packaging and shipping issues are resolved. ... show more

  • Well made, easy to assemble, well packaged
Size: King Pattern Name: Wood Slat
Used this to lower the height of a bed by eliminating the box spring. The metal frame is 8 screws, the sections aligned perfectly, the size was just right for the existing wooden bed frame. The slats and frame have velcro to hold the piece together. Simple, easy, good price, a couple of spare bolts and a nice little wrench, these folks do it right. ... show more

  • Didn’t fit…
Size: Full Pattern Name: Wood Slat
I bought this hoping I could use it instead of a box spring for my three year olds big boy bed and unfortunately, it did not fit - it was too big. I did end up using the slats for the top part of his bed just so if my husband and I sat on it, it wouldn’t sink. I would have returned it but didn’t feel like trying to get it back in the box. ... show more
