This bed frame is perfect. It's well made and has a nice finish and color. It was packaged very well and carefully. All the screws are marked clearly and go along with the instruction steps. The instructions were easy to follow, but could have been a little clearer in some steps.. but overall they were great, and the bed went together quickly. They include a little ratchet tool that made it even easier. The frame, once put together is light and easy to move around, yet sturdy and well made. So, I'm not one to write reviews very often, but I had to in this case. I really love the bed, it's sturdy and pretty, it's exactly what I hoped. But the thing I couldn't believe was how easy it was to put together! The directions were easy to understand and everything was clearly labeled. Everything fit together really well. Okay, in truth there were a few letters missing on the package of attachments. But it was easy enough to figure out. They did include a lot of spare parts. The best part was a ratchet hex key that made it all so easy to tighten bolts rather than just a hex key which always hurts my hand. If you are looking for a sturdy well made bed frame, you can’t go wrong here. Solid wood. Packed superbly with no scratches or damage. Styrofoam fillers are all encased in plastic so the traditional white snow particles during unpacking are non existent. GENIUS!!!! The instructions are so simple and clear, a child could put this together. The hardware is encased in shrink wrap and marked clearly and includes extras for each step. I just had total knee replacement 6 weeks ago and I did it. We need to lower our mattress so it shows better, but it is a really nice color. Very sturdy. I have ordered other frames and bedding items from this company before and will always continue to buy from them. ... show more

This is a fantastic, solid, and beautiful bed frame. We now have 2: a king and a queen. Would highly recommend. When you get it, before you put the mattress on, give it a good oiling and it will really look great!

Okay, lets talk about the bad to get that out of the way since I that's normally what I try to find in a review. 1. This is not the strongest bedframe, I know... you're very surprised. It says solid wood, and it is.. but it's basically comprised of 2x1ish boards that have been glued together to make 6" wide board, so while it's not pressed or engineered wood... "solid wood" is a bit of a stretch or at least a clever descriptor. Now you can't really tell looking at it that's the case, but during the assembly I noted a finger joint and thats probably the only way I would have know other than a picture from another review on here somewhere. I would say that it is strong enough. I am not a little guy, and I am fairly confident in a robust wrestling match on this bed won't dismember any toes. 2. The bottom of the main legs are very rough and do not come with a plastic or felt covering, they would 1000% destroy a non carpeted floor. Kinda a give to anyone with hardwood floors. The only reason I really bring it up is because I'm not sure if the center support was actually flush with the floor when the frame was assembled or the felt that I hot glued to the bottom are different thicknesses. 3. So there is essentially no lip on the frame to retain the mattress, there is some 2 sided tape which I'm sure would have worked but if I imagine that when you take the bed on and off for whatever reason it will become useless pretty quick. I'm going to but some grip tape and place it on the slats. I think that would have been a better long term solution. So that's really all the negatives I have about this frame. And in all honesty they are all a little nitpicky and none are a true reason to not buy it save the first, but lets be real here... I bought this frame for around 300 bucks... no one should expect something coming out of a custom woodmakers shop or something you're going to hand down to your children at that price point. The frame was easy to assemble, I did it by myself in 40min and that includes hot gluing felt to the bottom of the frames legs, it came with a convenient little ratcheting tool which I especially appreciated. The hardware is good quality, the wood is good enough, and the frame seems to be pretty solid when everything is tightened down. I can see needing some threaded inserts at some point down the line... But all in all would I recommend this bedframe... If it is still around 300 then yes, I would buy it again with out hesitation. ... show more

Simple assembly. I was able to have it together in a little less than an hour by myself. Having a second set of hands would have been useful, but not strictly necessary. They provide a VERY useful hex wrench on a ratchet, which makes assembly so much simpler. Also provided is spares of all the hardware, which will likely be useful in a few years when the existing hardware starts to wear down after adjustments & tightening. After about a week of use, the frame feels very sturdy and looks great. No noise when getting on or off the bed. Support is even throughout the bed. I was concerned about the mattress sliding around because my previous wooden frame had a raised border which ensured the bed was contained. But no sliding so far thankfully. I wish there was a little more clearance in terms of storing things under the bed. I have to lift the bed in order to slide things in and out, but once it's under there is plenty of room for storage. ... show more
