***6 month update Still an awesome bedframe. Still the same solid, uncreakable, unbreakable bed that came in the annoyingly secure box in July 2022. I will ABSOLUTELY purchase another when I buy a home. Affordable, stylish, sturdy, reliable. Money is tight these days and this purchase won't make you feel like an idiot for trusting that something so affordable can actually be a decent item for ownership. I'm a researcher---and I don't like spending money on stuff that is misrepresented, and I'll sure as heck send it back. I travel around a lot because of education and work--so my "bed frame" was a cheap wallyworld metal frame that a nice mattress sat upon. Looked terrible, but there it is. This bed was extraordinarily affordable, which gave me pause. It came in a huge, long cardboard container---and was packed so carefully I was annoyed at how much wrapping I had to undo. So it came in pristine condition. I laid out all of the pieces, which are marked clearly with numbers and letters, all of the hardware is in a packet that has corresponding numbers and letters. EASY PEASY. The pieces all fit together without any further "modification" and I had it together within an hour by myself. All tools included. The finish is very nice. I got the Rustic Pine---and it is NICE. Not too dark, not blonde...just a golden, creamy color much like honey oak but a little more ash. My decor is mission---and this is why I chose this bed. It fits perfectly. I am 5'6" and weigh 145lbs. I have not had a squeak, creak, or wobble. Not one. I have a 110 lb dog that jumps up, so a second "person" is also on the bed. No movement. No cracking or breaking or nonsense like these others are saying. ***first off, please be specific about your weight and activities when you claim the bed "broke and cracked". I can guarantee---you're putting >500lbs onto this bed and then expecting it to act like a steel frame while you do tandem acrobatics. It's nonsensical from what I see in this frame---especially if you're of a healthy weight. If you want to put >500lbs or even close to that on a frame....BUY A STEEL FRAME. There is a nice 8 inch clearance underneath where I have stored several suitcases and some other items. The height of the bed is PERFECT for me--I can imagine it may seem a little low for someone over 6', but otherwise, it's just a nice height. I've had the bed for a month now---and I stand by my initial impression---STURDY (when you're not putting a 2 ton wrecking ball to it) and very pretty. Easy construction and very clear instructions on how to do that. For those that are gonna sit there and measure the distance between slats....seriously. You need to focus that energy on solving world hunger. Really. Seriously. Nobody actually cares. I would buy this again for an additional room if/when I have one. Very nice for the money.

This is a fantastic bed frame with headboard. I just moved into my new townhome, and was needing to furnish my guest room. Very easy to assemble, as long as one pays attention to the numbered stickers that were conveniently placed on the various parts. It took me about 45 minutes to assemble by myself, but I had the center support bar upside down and had to flip it around (rubber side up). Had I been a bit more mindful in the assembly process, I'd have had put it together a bit more quickly. Other than that slight hiccup, it was a smooth experience. The box itself is heavy, but other than the weight, it was an easy job for one person. The bed frame itself, looks great and is exceptionally solid. No creaking or wobble whatsoever. I'd definitely recommend this bed frame if you are looking for a reasonably priced, easy to assemble, wood bed frame and headboard that is both stylish, and sturdy.

This really surprised me. First, the bed frame was packaged very well. Lots of foam yo protect the wood. The screws were all on a card, labeled, and plastic sealed. It was built well. All the screws aligned perfectly and well. The instructions were simple. No words, but huge well thought out diagrams showing each step with a number and a diagram of each screw for each step. Very easy to read and assemble. The kit not only included the necessary Allan wrench, but also has a small ratchet tool. I was impressed! It looks great and us very sturdy. My only thing, is that I would have liked to see the headboard taller...but that's just my personal preference and nothing to do with the quality of the product. Good buy!

The ZINUS Alexia wooden platform bed frame offers a very good overall experience from assembly to everyday use. The solid wood construction looks attractive and has a warm, natural appearance that enhances the bedroom atmosphere. The headboard is simple but stylish, fitting well with a wide range of décor styles. Assembly was straightforward, with clearly labeled parts and included tools. Once put together, the frame feels sturdy, with minimal squeaking or movement during the night. Highlights: -Beautiful wood texture with a clean, classic design -Sturdy construction with minimal noise or wobbling -Easy assembly with well-organized parts -Platform support provides great stability for the mattress -Excellent quality for the price A couple of minor drawbacks: the slats are on the thinner side, so very heavy mattresses may benefit from additional support. Also, the headboard has no padding, so sitting up in bed requires extra pillows for comfort.

Having assembled several "Build it yourself furniture" I was very pleasantly surprise with how cleanly and neatly everything in the box was packaged. As others have said, it is a box within a box, the outer box having marks and signs of wear from shipment, but the inner box was completely clean and perfect. All of the foam protection inside is contained in plastic bags, which is so nice, no little bits of broken Styrofoam going everywhere. And there are only a few zip ties to cut through so you don't spend half your time just un-packing. I was able to assemble the bed by myself in about an hour, but with 2 people could go much faster. I do recommend having two people carry the box, because it is pretty heavy. I was able to carry it up a flight of stairs by myself as a 6'2" male, but, it was a little sketchy at times. Get someone to help you. All the parts were perfect out of the box, none of the wood was warped, or had misaligned holes. Instructions are easy and straight forward, and all the parts are clearly marked with stickers that don't leave a residue when removed. All of the bolts threaded into place and tightened perfectly, and they include washers to use across most of the build which other manufacturers of wood or "like wood" build yourself furniture don't always do, which should help a ton with spreading the load on the joints. They include both an allen key AND a ratchet wrench allen head tool, which is unbelievably nice and easy to use for this. Just being able to use that ratchet wrench for the bolts easily took 30 minutes off the build time, and hand cramp/frustration level. After it was all assembled, our Casper king size box spring and mattress fit perfectly, and felt very very solid and stable. We are using the boxspring, which with the leg height on the bed, makes it a LITTLE higher that I think would be typical, but it isn't an issue for us, and the frame/bed still look great. I Also don't think there would be any issue with not using the Casper box spring, as the horizontal supports are straight and feel sturdy, and are at elast as think as what came with the Casper box spring, and are actually not warped, unlike the Casper slats, where some of them were. I cannot speak to long term durability yet, as we have only had it for a few days, but so far, it doesn't squeak or shift or shake, feels very solid, and neither of us feel the bed move or shake when the other gets in and out of the bed. At a minimum, it is absolutely better quality and build than something comparable from say Big Lots. Just from the quality I see however, I think it should hold up just fine over time. I think this a really good deal, and would recommend it to anyone that I know.

Could not wait to post a review on this structurally sound and extremely well made platform bed. I purchased the Zinus 12-in wood platform bed in full size. PROS: 1. Most excellent packaging in well designed compartments with loads of protection to retain integrity of the edges and wood pieces 2. Easy, very, very easy installation instructions to follow after you layout all the parts. You cannot connect the wrong pieces because of the manner in which it is numbered and labeled. 3. Although an Allen wrench is provided, simple tools such a screwdriver [Phillips] is required. To speed things along I used the same size Allen wrench adapter on my drill. But hand-tightened with given wrench. 4. Took about 1-hour to assemble from the point of taking all pieces out of the box. 5. This base acts as the "box-spring" for the mattress. So, you need only top with either traditional spring or foam/latex mattress. I used a foam mattress. 6. Very, very, very sturdy holding a 300+lb individual who came to visit without even a crack or a squeak. 7. The color/shade of the wood is consistent and is the same as shown in the photo. 8. There is plenty of space underneath to include under-bed storage bins for additional hide-away storage. CONS: 1. After initial delivery to the front door - getting it to upstairs room was challenging due to the weight [it is wood after all]. But with two strong folks should not be a problem. 2. As noted, I used a foam mattress, which was 8" but this makes the height a wee-bit too low - but acceptable. A 10" would have been more suitable only because I like high beds. 3. The only major con is the middle support post on either side of the bed. Not being used to a post, it seems my toes hit it when making the bed. Overall, this is an excellent quality, heavy duty, easy to assemble bed, that surprised me given the reasonable cost. The same bed costs easily 2x at a furniture store.
