I have the Zinus bed frame and it's the best bang for your buck - solid, easy to unassemble and pack down, no issues for years. So I was happy to see they made a mattress topper that was also affordable. If you don't like super squishy toppers this isn't for you, for me it's perfect. I'm 160lb, athletic and laying on my side it's key that my hip bones don't jab into the mattress. This 1.5inch topper takes care of me! Love the comfort. Also was stoked it didn't have to decompress out of the packaging for hours, it was unfold and go with not much of a smell either.     • Can not truly fix a lousy mattress...

I studied the reviews long and hard before purchasing within my chosen price point and selected Zinus. The mattress arrived in a timely fashion and unpackaged easily. There was no odor to speak off, laid out on top the bed before work and when I got ready for bed it was fully fluffed. I made the bed putting it under my mattress cover, so far it has tried to walk off of the mattress altogether, every week I need to readjust it. I am slightly overheated at night and I still have achy points because of my poor mattress as the title says this is only foam it cannot fix a lousy mattress. Being overheated at night is a bit better than it was before using this topper, but not significantly enough to warrant the titling of cooling as advertised. If given the opportunity it will rip relatively quickly, as I've had this on my bed for a while it has started to squish into a slightly larger size as it overhangs the full size mattress on all sides now where it did not as brand new you can't really see a pocket or an imprint is it does return to normal but the overall size of the mattress is different. ... show more

I like that it didn't smell terrible when I opened it. I was worried because I am very sensitive but the offgassing was not overwhelming. The pad was so smashed and misshapen when I opened it that I didn't think it would bounce back but it did. I slept on it the second night but kind of regretted putting it on my bed so soon because I could still faintly smell the item. Sleeping on it was a relief. I had purchased a new mattress that was firm. It didn't feel as firm as it is at the store but when I got home and slept in it, I regretted getting a firm mattress. I bought this to give me a bit of a sense of softness and to mimic the feeling of my old Tempurpedic where I sank into it a bit. I am happy with it. Beware, it tears easily. I was rearranging it on my bed and my finger tore into it. So, be careful about how you handle it because it tore quite easily. I put it on under a mattress pad so that I wont be directly moving around on top of it and I hope that keeps it from tearing further. ... show more

Much firmer than I expected it to be but that is not necessarily a bad thing. I have hip problems and fibromyalgia so I had to add a foam topper to this mattress, it was just too hard for me. Overall I am pleased with it. It became shaped almost immediately out of the package and I didn't notice that the odor was overwhelming. I did let it air for 3 days before putting it on the bed. I purchased a Zinus foam mattress which turned out to be a bit to firm for me (hubby loved it tho) so ordered this to see if it would be more comfortabls. I have never slept better with these two products on my bed! This foam isn't hot like some others and its soft but not so much so that you sink down into it. I'm not sure what type of foam Zinus uses for its products but it sure is good! There was no odor and although it was a bit compressed on arrival it fluffed up immediately and has stayed soft and comfy ever since. I'm very impressed with the products from this company. I was worried i got a dud after a few days when my mattress topper was still very dense and compacted. I decided to throw it on my bed anyway to try. It did finally puff up and makes my bed more comfortable, next time i would spend a little more for one of the thicker options.
