Purchased to use on a Craftmatic Sleep Sofa. The original mattress was thin, and the people that were going to use it were north of 200LBS. This topper made a HUGE difference. It is very comfortable to sleep on. I also purchased a Utopia fitted mattress pad and a mattress vacuum bag. With these, I don't have to worry about the topper being damaged and am able to vacuum the topper and store it along with the original mattress. I've had this topper for almost a year now and I can honestly say it is one of the better mattress toppers I have purchased. I have liked how it fits on the bed as well as how it forms to my body shape. However, there are two main reasons I didn't give it a full five stars. First, the memory foam makes it hard to turn or get our of bed some days, as it feels like its holding your body down. Though I am okay with the trade-off being the comfort level I receive this may be an issue for people with mobility issues. The second reason is that I've noticed this topper is easy to accidentally rip when moving. If you are lifting it to move elsewhere, I would recommend asking a second person for help and being careful how you lift it. ... show more

This topper is everything! It conforms to your body while providing great support. I've tried others that just collapse under my weight and provide zero support. This topper is perfect for both of us - a side sleeper and back sleeper - 150 and 220 lbs. Best sleep we've had in a very long time. It fully expanded in 4 hours. There was no funky odor and we didn't notice heat retention. Highly recommend this topper. Better than our old tempurpedic. Purchased the King 4 inch topper- old version for the dense bottom layer. Considering the thickness of this topper, I am very pleased with it; it's firm and soft at the same time. Quality seems good, but I cannot vouch for that since it is in our guest room, so it's used sporadically.

Easy to use, and expanded quickly...although, I did unroll this onto the top of a twin bed with a heated mattress pad under the bedspread. I had a feeling it would help the mattress topper decompress more quickly and it really did. It is lightweight and easy to handle on my own. I recently purchased an 8" memory foam mattress but found that it was on the firmer side so while I wasn't in pain, I wasn't really resting comfortable either. This topper helps tremendously in that it does conform to my lumbar area so that I don't feel gaps where my back felt unsupported. I was tucking in a microwaveable heating pad to fill in the gaps along my waist where there was an airspace that left my muscles unsupported. That situation is remedied and I'm now able to sleep longer stretches without the need to keep changing positions. Very good value for the cost. ... show more

First thing to note is that it took 4 days to "fully" fluff up. That was annoying because it was taking up so much space so please keep this in mind if you're thinking about ordering it. The 3 in version took an hr to fully fluff up. Even after it fluffed up, it's slightly lopped-sided. One side is roughly 1.5 in while the other is stuck at about 1 in. I'm almost certain the middle isn't the full 1.5 in. Comfort level isn't bad. Sleeping on my side for the last two nights hasn't hurt as much but you do notice huge sinkage. Thankfully I can roll onto the other side of the bed but that's not really a long term solution. Much like the 3in version, this thing gets hot as balls. Great for the winter or when you have the AC on. Not so good in the spring and fall. If you sleep hot, this is def not for you. The same thing happed on the 3 in ver. I'm going to give this a few more nights but I have a feeling this is going to be a return. ... show more

This is a double foam layer topper. The bottom layer is a firm, dense, smooth foam. The top is about 1" of the squishy memory style foam that is more porous and sponge like than other memory foam style toppers I've owned. It doesn't tunnel like some and it doesn't make it feel like I'm sinking into the mattress. I'm guessing the rougher texture is to help keep it cooler. There was no chemical smell and the wait for it to fluff up fully was about 8 hours. My queen size was packaged by folding it in half. By the time it was well inflated, there were no signs of the crease. I'm not using it over an existing mattress. Instead, I use it in my RV where the bed is composed of a set of 6" springs that this topper then covers. I makes a nice hybrid style mattress. I've replaced the topper 3 times in 6 years and paid much more for previous toppers and yet this one is just as good as the pricier ones I've owned. If you need a little firmness in your bed, this might be a good option. I have the 4" queen size version and it is very comfortable. I did not purchase a cover because I use a mattress pad already so it isn't needed. I don't have issues with it slipping but it might be because the cover on my springs is not that slippery satin like material. Overall, this is a bargain. It is significantly cheaper than the others I've owned. I replace it every two years because in my RV, moisture and dust are frequent issues. If I were using it in my home, I think they might last longer. But, a hygienic bed is very important, so I repurpose the used topper for pet beds etc. For the next 2 years I have a comfy supportive bed. I'd buy it again without any reservations. ... show more
