It expanded to full size in less than the 72 hours stated, and the first time my child slept in it for her nap, she was out for a solid two hours (unusual for her) so I assume she was comfortable. I haven't slept on it myself yet, but lying down with my daughter for her nap, it feels pretty comfortable. It feels a little firm to me (5'5", 150# woman) but not uncomfortably so like some other firm mattresses I've slept on. Didn’t take long for the bed to fully expand, I slept on it like 2 hrs after taking it out the box. The first few days the mattress was a lot firmer than expected but now, about 6 weeks later, it is much softer to the touch but firm at the same time. I only feel the cooling sensation if I don’t have a sheet on the mattress other than that, it is not cool to the touch. I’m happy with my purchase, no complaints whatsoever. Our old mattress was worn out after 8 years, so we decided to take a chance on a 10" memory foam mattress. Loving it so far, but I do wish we had gone with the 12". It's gotten a little softer in the last two months (or we've grown accustomed to its firmness). It definitely took me about two weeks to start sleeping soundly on this thing. I am actually laying on this mattress writing this review. I will say this was exactly what I needed for my back. I have really bad back issues and my husband will sleep on anything and be fine. But my biggest issue has always been a mattress with coils in them. As I’ve explained to my husband over the years. His height 6”3 and weight probably around 300lbs and I am 4”9 160lbs. The bed will dip on his side after a while of use less then a year so then I feel the coils sticking out on my side of the bed even added a 4inch topper and that also did not last long either. So I told him it was time to invest in one of these because my back could not handle it anymore. I would wake up in horrible pain. We’ve had this issue every time we have bought a mattress and I always tell him they won’t last long. He never listens. This time I told him I’m picking out what I want and he can be quiet. Well no complaints from him and we both sleep really good on it. Not sure about the cooling part but I don’t really care either way because we sleep with a ceiling fan on. But I do sleep through the night. And his side dips but goes rite back up when he moves or gets up. But it is definitely worth the price and we love it! I returned a Nectar mattress for this and I love it! Many reviews said it was cool but I find it on the warm side. That being the only down side for me, I still gave it a 5 because it's very comfortable and the temperature thing is tolerable as well as inconsistent.
