My son recently graduated elementary school and one of his friends had a Polaroid camera and he really wanted one. He did really well in school and I was glad to be able to get hi something he really wanted. He is 11 so when it arrived he went crazy and wanted to use it immediately. The one and only issue I had was it does not come with instructions so when we tried to use it we could not figure out why after loading the film in it was not working correctly. The pictures came out white. He then decided to go on YouTube and found video's telling us the correct way to load the film and gave us some other good tips.The camera is well made and he loves the color of it. It really is perfect for his age as well as adults. It is so much fun to watch him use it. I will have to buy a case just because he is so young and I want this to last. The film is a lot cheaper than other instant camera film so I am happy about that. The pictures are pretty nice and after some more practice they will be even better.

This camera is so much fun. I got it for my five year old daughter is obsessed with taking pictures like her mom. I thought it would be so much fun for her to get an actual picture to hang up immediately. This camera comes with a 20 sheet set with 2x3 inch Zink paper. The paper comes in two sleeves of 10 within foil wrapping so not to be easily exposed by the Sun. When putting the paper in, the camera didn't come with a set of instructions within the box, although it did give a website to be able to download the latest firmware, but I wanted to see if I could figure it out on my own and through trial and error, I figured that the paper goes picture side up. So you can see the backing of the paper has the logo and writing on it that will face the inside of the camera. I showed in the video exactly how to do this. You don't have to slide it through or anything, you just place it flat in there and close it quickly so there isn't much light exposure. There is a shutter cover on the front that just pops off. It's magnetized and easy to pull on and off so that's a nice protective option for this camera. It also came with a lanyard and there's a section on the left side of the camera to put the lanyard through to hold with your wrist. On the top of the camera you have the red shutter button which takes the picture, you have a 10 second timer that you press if you're trying to get the perfect position or be in the picture, you have the viewing window in the middle. All you have to do is press it down and it pops up. That little window is what you look through to frame your picture. Just to the left of that is the flash button that lights up when it selected and the color gradient is next to that. You press down on the color gradient to show what colors you are hoping to expose on your picture. In the video, I chose the colorful selection. It comes with a charging cord that is similar to my Android charging cord for my phone and tablet. It also has the option of using an SD card to save pictures. There's no viewing window to look at your pictures later within the camera, so you would have to take the SD card out to manipulate those photos. That was honestly the only thing that I would change about this camera is a viewing window to maybe be able to select the pictures I want to print. I did however get this for my five-year-old who will be extremely happy to have her own camera and be able to see pictures immediately. The pictures aren't perfect, but definitely would be a fun time for her birthday party that's coming up where her and her friends can take selfies using the timer and instantly have a picture documenting that time. It's a lot of fun, really cute to look at, and I would definitely recommend this as a gift or just for fun. I'm having a lot more fun with it than I expected and I'm definitely going to be buying more of this Zinc paper.

The Polaroid Snap is a fun, retro, instant print camera with nostalgia and novelty value. You cannot use it as an instant print camera without Snap compatible ZINK Photo Paper, and it does not come with so much as a single piece of ZINK (zero ink) paper, so you should order some when you order a Snap.For someone who is in the market for a fun, retro, instant print camera with nostalgia and novelty value that they can take to parties, etc., the Snap is cool enough that despite the fact that you have to buy a pack of ZINK pape in order to use it as it's meant to be used, I can easily rate it 5 stars. But keep in mind that I'm a grandpa who has still has photo albums filled with Polaroids that I took in the sixties. And when I look at what comes out of the Snap, I definitely get the nostalgia effect, especially when I select the print option that puts an old-fashioned Polaroid border around the print. The print quality itself adds to the nostalgia, in that the print quality is apparently designed and intended to be reminiscent of original Polaroid prints.The Snap has no built-in memory, but it does have a slot for a microSD card. Technically, if you put a microSD card in a Snap, you can use the Snap without ZINK paper, and you can access the images by putting the microSD card into another device or by connecting the Snap to a computer with the included USB cable (which is also the charging cable). But based on my experience, I'd say there'd be no point in using a microSD card in the Snap unless you are also using ZINK paper. Let's say that you're at a party and you take a Snap shot of someone and give them the instant print.

This is a fun camera. It provides the newness of a digital camera and the vintage feel of an old Polaroid. I'm an 80's baby so I remember well growing up and using an old school Polaroid. I still have some Polaroid prints in my photo box, but they're all pretty dated and damaged. When I saw this camera I thought it would be a great modern twist on a classic and I couldn't wait to try it out. The camera does not come with paper for printing the photos, so you will need to provide that. There is a slot for an SD card as well, but that is not included either so you will need to buy your own if you plan on storing photos. You can use the camera easily without the SD card, but the photos will not store since the camera does not have a hard drive. You can also use the camera without the paper, but you will need to have an SD card installed. As long as you have paper loaded, the photo will print. You have no option to turn this off, which is a bit annoying if you forget to take out the paper. It would be nice if this camera included a paper sample so you could test it out before you have to provide your own. There are no instructions included with the camera so I had to sort of figure it out as I went along. The camera is simple enough, but there are also instructions on polaroid's site if you have questions. The controls are pretty self explanatory, and I was able to teach my 5 year old neice how to operate it. The pop up flash and magnetic lens cap are 2 pretty cool features of this camera. There isn't a screen like most digital cameras, so any extras that come with it are a good thing! The camera charges quickly and seems to hold a charge well. Overall this camera is decent. It is extremely bare bones, so it's important to understand what you're getting. It would have been so nice for Polaroid to provide either a memory card or a small paper sample so you would be able to use this right out of the box. Also some instructions would be a great bonus. I am pleased with this camera as a gift for my 5 year old neice, but I wouldn't buy this camera do to any sort of serious photography.

Love this little camera. my daughter has been begging for an instant print camera for awhile now and this one fits the bill perfectly. Pros: small and compact, has a magnetic lens cover, easy to use, instant small photos perfect for a party (you can give little momentos to your guests!), takes surprisingly clear and colorful pictures for an instant camera, has included wrist strap, rechargeable, you can add your own micro sd card for additional memory. Cons: no instructions (I just googled them and there are only a few buttons so pretty easy to figure out), expensive paper refill. This is a good little camera to have on hand for parties! You can take a quick snap of friends and family and just hand over the pic in less than a minute for them to take with them! Make sure you buy paper (not included). The premium paper is peel and stick which I really like!

Compared to the Fujifilm Instax MINI 8, this Polaroid Snap camera works pretty well. It’s the size of the typical digital camera. So you can slip it into your back pocket unlike the Instax. But I do admit, the Instax is cuter, looks more like a traditional camera with better color options. But I guess it comes down to more of a preference. The Snap uses zinc paper, so when the photo prints, it looks like you printed directly from a printer rather than an old school Polaroid photo, like the Instax (prints slower too.) The photos are smaller than the Instax but the Zinc paper has a sticker backing, so it’s like a sticker pix. The Snap photos can be printed with a white border and can be printed in color, sepia and black in white. But what I do like is that this camera can print with a photo booth option, so 4 photos in one print. And this camera has a Micro SD Card option, which is a plus for me. I normally end up giving the printouts to others, but now I have a copy for myself. The only difference that I’ve notice is that the SNAP is on auto, while the Instax has lighting options. And the Instax is at a lower price point. Other than that, they work pretty similar. If you had the original Polaroid this one will be a tad disappointing for you, at least it was for me... It does what the original did but with much less quality. A good gift for a kid, although the printer paper is a tad pricey for the quality it produces and how quickly kids go through the "film". All in all its an okay purchase but I'm a little bias as I am an 80s kid that misses the good ole days with the original of things. Not the diluted knock offs we have today.

This is such a cute camera. It is similar in size to my phone so I can carry it around with me. The pictures it takes are pretty good! Definitely not the highest quality digital camera, but I got this for the nostalgia feel and the instant photos. The camera acts more like a printer where the images come out fully developed compared to the slow develop of older instant photos. I love the fact that I can have a digital copy of the photos so I can give them away to friends. I've included photos so you can see the difference between the digital and the physical photos.
