Description

7A Drumsticks are a slightly thinner version of the world-popular 5A. Slimmer in profile, they offer a lighter playing touch around the drums. The smaller round tip provides much greater stick articulation. The DIP® material is a special coating available in many colors, that is applied to the grip area of the stick to provide a comfortable, slightly tacky gripping surface. When you need a stick that is versatile and well-balanced but just a bit lighter in feel, the answer is Zildjian 7A.

  • Great sticks
Style: Black Dip, Nylon
I like the 7a. And the dipped sticks have great grip. Durable and with a nice sound. I've played these for years

  • Great sticks for my small hands
Style: Black Dip, Wood
I am updating after a couple months of use. Adding a star because I just love these. The dip they add is grippy and comfy in my hands. I am a new drummer but quickly realized that the standard 5A sticks may not be for my dainty paws. Pros: Small and lightweight. For those who don't know know the 7A sticks are thinner and a tad shorter than 5A. The handle dip is a nice touch it helps keep the sticks in my hands better than the sticks with a type of varnish finish. Cons: I deducted the 1 star because the part of the stick that is not dipped is plain wood and seems a little brittle as it is leaving wood marks on my symbols, had this portion had some kind of varnish that would have been a great addition to a pretty awesome set of drum sticks. ... show more

  • Excellent Jazz Stick
Style: Black Dip, Wood
I have used the Zildjian and Vic Firth rubber-dipped sticks for years. My hands are naturally dry so I cannot play with a set of woods sticks unless coated. This particular model is made of a very nice hickory. They are super balanced, perfectly weighted from end to end, and strong. I use this stick to play jazz on an acoustic kit. The round wooden tip is not for every kind of music. This works well for a lighter jazz sound. It does not bring a large amount of sound out of drums or cymbals, which is great for some songs. For a richer sound, I use the Vic Firth 7a stick with a teardrop-shaped wooden tip, with the red dipped grip. That is also a great stick, perhaps a little thicker and heavier in spite of the same size designation. Both great. I love these sticks but I gave them four stars since the rubber grip wears out right where my hand has the most contact, about 1/3 up from the bottom, or a little more. The grips wear out long before the stick would ever do so. Recommended. ... show more

  • Great Quality and Fell
Style: Black Dip, Nylon
I decided to switch to a lighter drumstick with a good grip since I have been having grip issues as I get older. These sticks have a great feel and the grip is outstanding. They have eliminated the issues I was having. In addition, they have held up well for many hours of playing. I have already purchased another pair. ... show more
