I've been struggling to find the right sticks for years. Having the right balance and size. I only play casually now and a pair of sticks can last me a year or two playing 3 or so hours a week. That's why I was very surprised when the tip on one of the sticks splintered and a small piece broke off on the second day. I've had other Zildjian sticks before that held up fine. I know that it happens sometimes. The sticks do have a nice balance, with not a lot of forward weight. One problem I have with Zildjian is they get very slick/slippery after playing for a few days. When this happens I use some course sandpaper to roughen them up a bit. Have never had to do that with another brand. ... show more
