I bought the PRO bundle which because it came it came with all the accessories that I wanted. Definitely get a bundle with the battery because the battery makes it truly portable and allows the compact nature to truly shine. I used it with the bowels mount adaptor included in the pro bundle and a neewer soft box to shoot press shots for my band last night. It was easy to figure out and the battery still had juice after 2 hours of shooting. If anything changes after multiple uses I’ll update this review. My only complaint is I wish there was a remote control option (if there is one I couldn’t figure it out).

The light is pretty good and bright. Easy to use. Kind of a weird form factor but overall its a good light. However, I bought this light because I wanted to use the dome attachment. I needed this setup for a specific shoot so I ordered the dome directly from Zhiyun's website. The shoot date was approaching but they were not shipping it, so I contacted them. Turns out they outright refuse to ship to Hawaii. Why? Plus, if that's the case give me a warning during the checkout process. Now I have this light that I don't really need.

I own MANY studio and mobile lighting kits, and I'm madly in love with Zhiyun's new line of them. I've seen other brands attempt to build hybrid studio/mobile lights, that are good for both, but haven't seen much success. It's generally one or the other. But these lights are nothing short of Magical. Ultra compact. The 60 and 100watt cob lights aren't even a 4th of the size of most of my others, and just as powerful, and absolutely amazing. You can literally mount them on a super clamp, to a crossbar, or anything you want, without the need for a heavy-duty stand. I've encountered quite a few stands/arms/booms that couldn't handle a cob light, but most or anything can handle these. I know I already mentioned this, but I love how little space they take up, packed. I have maybe 10 Zhiyun lights now, and they take up less space than just a few lights from other brands. This saves precious storage/studio space, and trunk/car/luggage space if you're on the go. Love how easy they are to use, with the analog dials. Super quiet fans. I literally don't hear them. So many brands have "quiet fans", that sound like freight trains in the background, when you're recording. I do highly recommend going for the pro/combo versions if you can, because they come with all the goodies that you'll need/want to use with them. It's probably more expensive to wait and buy them separate. This version comes with the light, power cable/converter, and a mesh bag with a hole in the bottom, for hanging the power converter box when you're using it up high. The only cons I can think of, are the items that come with the pro/combo packages not being included. Carry case, battery, bowens mount adapter, softbox, etc. Not really a con, per sé, just wish it came with a case and diffuser of some kind. I know the 60watt has a little rubber diffuser that's brilliant. Oh, one little con I just thought of, is that the Molus 100 doesn't come with the rotating arm mount dewhickey that comes on the 40 and 60 watt lights, so there's no tilting it without the mounting adapter, or mounting it onto a tripod with a ball or fluid head or something that will let you adjust the angle. But that's it. The only real con I could find (though this can be remedied, if you have the bowens mount adapter, using a softbox, as it will tilt up and down). In closing, this light and its little siblings are all-around superior to any other lighting kit in their field, that I'm aware of. AND at a competitive price. Not to mention, the look and build quality are absolutely beautiful. I only wish I had more stars to give 👍

The media could not be loaded. The Molus X100 LED Video Light by ZHIYUN, is a useful little light that has a lot of watts for the size, but this one comes with pros and cons that should be thought about. Here are some of the things I’ve learned while owning it and things to consider before buying. I. Quality – It feels like good quality like everything I’ve gotten from this company. They continue to make high quality, very useful equipment. I’d put this one in the lower side of the upper tier on the quality scale for this type of light and guess it should hold up good over time. However, I’m a little concerned about all the excessive heat warnings and if that will affect the longevity of this equipment. II. Performance – The output of the light is very bright for the size and on par with much bigger 60W COB lights I own. It’s very maneuverable and easy to get into smaller spaces or odd spots that might be hard for the traditional sized light of this brightness. It’s easy to figure out and operate, with simple controls. Unfortunately, the standard option doesn’t come with a battery and leaves you plugged in, with only a short cord and a large brick to deal with. This highly reduces its usefulness and makes you wonder why you have it, versus my 60W COB light that is about the same brightness and the light spread is bigger, because of the larger reflector. Overall, this is a great idea with some great abilities, but you really need to get the combo package or it’s not worth getting. This is because, without the maneuverability, you’re better off getting a cob light. The standard package should definitely come with a battery for this level of cost. I’ll be sure to update this review, if I ever start to have problems with it. If you’d find it helpful to see an up-close visual inspection of this product, I recommend you watch my included video in full screen or landscape. They say a picture is worth a 1000 words, well it’s a video! You can trust that this review is simply my honest opinion that is attempting to provide you with helpful insight that I wish I had before I picked this product.
