    • Forget the ronin. This is what you want.
I run this with the small rig ring and fly my C300 mkii. It can handle the weight and swap lenses without major rebalance. Smooth and quick to learn. A strong solution for a heavy camera package.

    • It’s ok.. but sooooo many issues
There’s simply not another mid range gimbal that can handle large cameras, that being said it’s got ALL kinds of problems. Constantly starts shaking out of nowhere, though perfectly balanced. Most other gimbals give you some feedback as to what’s unbalanced, not the crane though. NONE of the wheels or buttons are assignable, which is ridiculous. I have a follow focus so i don’t use the zhihyn accessory, which makes the wheel then totally useless. The reaction time is slow. Though it’s TOTALLY designed for an “under-slung” mode, it barely works when held like this. Pans are jittery and unusable. The app is mediocre at best as the sync follow is unreliable. Overall it can handle larger camera rigs, but I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone really. I use it out of necessity. It needs a major overhaul. ... show more

The Zhiyun Crane 3S can handle pretty much any modern DSLR or Cinema Camera you can throw at it. It has more than enough torque to handle large cameras AND large zoom and prime lenses. I put as much weight on it as I could and it handled it all even as the medium torque setting. I don't recommend it for lighter setups as you may experience vibrations but if you have one of the big cinema cameras you won't find a more professional setup, aside from a Steadicam rig that costs thousands and thousands of dollars and requires expert training. If you've used gimbals before you can use this one right out of the box its that easy to set up. Ive you haven't used them you will learn very quickly. In my country, I am the first to buy and use Zhiyun Crane 1. I Introduced many people to Zhiyun products but I’m a victim of a horrible,tricky service. Guys don’t be a victim. I bought a Crane 3S in the US, travelled with it to Ghana for a project. I got here and it was a dead product they shipped. me. I couldn’t use it for my 30 day project so I resorted to renting for up to 30 days. Just imagine the cost to rent after buying one. The product goes to standby mode when powered and it won’t stay on. I reached out to customer care, no response for over a month and my warranty already expired. Finally when they got back to me, I couldn’t get a refund or change product. They made me try firmware updates which never worked. They now asked me to Ship the product to Hong Kong. I spent $150 on shipping. It came back and still stayed on standby mode when powered. Now I’m let with no option. Zhiyun says my warranty is past ( past because you deliberately refused to respond to me until it expired). 🚫 Such an injustice. I lost my $600 buying the product, $150 on shipping, $170 import duty in Ghana. What an in-justifying lost. #ZhiyunInjustice #deadonarrival #Justice4Hafiz ... show more
