The main thing I noticed is that this is for very lightweight duty, like for keeping dust off a kayak that's stored in a garage or shed, which is how I was planning on using this anyway. I don't see how this could last outside, especially if it gets sun exposure. It's way too thin. The material is much thinner than the inexpensive outdoor furniture covers I have for patio furniture and grills, and those only last a couple years. This kayak cover is easily half as thick. Probably more like a third as thick. I expected this to be more kayak/canoe shaped. It seems very rectangular and flat. If you used this outdoors, the wind would probably really whip it around, as it doesn't really fit around a kayak/canoe. Seems more like a sheet with a few buckles underneath. I got the small size, and it's giant. Way longer and wider than either of our 1-person kayaks (I have one, my wife has a smaller one). It's so big that I find it very cumbersome to put on and then carry the kayak and hang it up with the cover sliding around. I'll probably end up not using the cover long term, and just keep an elastic splash guard on our kayaks while they're stored in our garage. ... show more

These do not fit or tighten snug like it shows in the description. This kayak is 10'3". I ordered the smallest size available. Very disappointed. I'd return it but I don't see a smaller size available in any other covers.

The Zettum Kayak Canoe Cover - 600D Kayak Cover for Outdoor Storage is a reasonably priced medium-duty cover to help protect your paddlecraft from the degrading affect of sunshine, as well as from the accumulation of dirt on its surface when your craft is stored outdoor. I would not describe the cover as "heavy- duty" as the seller suggests or at "lightweight" or "light- duty" as some reviewers have suggested. In comparison to outdoor covers I utilize for motorcycles, tools, and other recreational gear, I would consider this medium-duty. I live in Colorado where the sun intensity can quickly degrade lightweight covers in less than a year; given the fabric weight used, I would expect at least 3-5 years of exposure use. I do like that a small drying pad is included as it is best to dry your craft before covering it. The tarp is 600D nylon, coated on the interior to make it waterproof (at least in its initial year of use). It includes 3 sets of straps with quick-release nylon buckles along its length to help secure the cover. It also comes equipped with a 1/8" toggled bungee cord sewn in around its perimeter to help "fit" the cover snuggly around the craft. Unfortunately, this feature does not work well (even with the bungee being new) as the cord is not strong enough for the length it extends and must function. A 1/8 - 1/4 parachute cord would work better. As I'm using this on a sit-upon kayak with a fair amount of beam, I'm not too concerned over the poor function of the cord (which I can easily replace should I choose) as the clipped straps will keep it in place on my kayak as it sits on my rack. I think the price is fair (especially with the cost of coated nylon) but, as the system designed to "fit" the cover to a craft functionally fails, I am only giving the Zettum Kayak Canoe Cover 4 stars. ... show more
