Replaced the steel cable on a Badlands 5K winch. This cable fit perfectly and utilized the factory set screw (I also tied a knot and taped the rope down). I moved the heat shield to the bottom of then rope where the first wrap around the drum is made. I hooked to a tree and winched the Polaris forward to wrap the first time and get any stretch out of it. First day on the trail I had to use it and it held up to expectations. ... show more

Purchased this for a replacement on a light 3000lb utv winch. Normally that is atv sized, but this is what was on the unit. At 1/4” the strength rating was perfect, but rope diameter would not work. Even drilling out the hole in the winch drum was not ideal. This was probably a sizing issue on my part, but there is no guide or information from the seller on this. I’d imagine my 5000lb winch this would fit perfectly. ... show more

The rope is fine and works very well for pulling and snow plow, but the sleeve that is meant to protect slides up/down and bunches in my winch. Need to secure that thing. I had to remove the sleeve from the rope.

Had to replace a factory Polaris 6000 lb. winch rope and though I'd give this a try seeing as it was rated for 10,000 lbs. Getting it on the spool was a snap. The problem was the durability. See, I use the winch for plowing snow so there's a lot of In/Out to raise and lower the plow. The factory rope lasted 2 years and perhaps dozens of times clearing snow. This rope didn't even make it through its 2nd outing. Given the longevity I've experienced I find it hard to believe that it's rated to 10,000 lbs. My advice: Look Elsewhere! ... show more

Bought this for use in several DIY projects as it was cheaper buying the winch rope than buying an equivalent length of dyneema rope which is what it's made of. Strongest lightweight rope around. When I do get around to replacing my existing winch ropes I will be buying more of this.

Cable broke first use ! And it broke were a cable usually does not break and that was at the end connection around the metal hook eyelet. I had to re-tie it into a knot hoping it want break next use

I am so happy we made the switch from our cabled winch to this synthetic. We are forever pulling someone out of a mud hole in our side by side. The cable would bite you and kept fraying. So far so good. Happy we made the switch!

Upgraded my 3/16 synthetic winch rope to this 1/4 synthetic winch rope. So far so good. Have been impressed and happy with it. Went riding last week with a buddy in a very rocky, loose, steep, and wet area. Buddies 4 wheel drive went out on his ATV due to water getting in the switch. Had to hook on to his atv and pull his and my atv up about a 90’ long steep incline. This rope did the trick and didn’t disappoint. ... show more
