  • Good stuff with other use possibilities
Size: 2 x 14 Inch Number of Items: 10
Bought these to cover the worn and cut up plate on my miter saw. Have not used them for that yet, but suspect they would work ok. I did have a problem with the sole plate on my circular saw leaving scratches in the top veneer on plywood when I was cutting a full sheet to manageable sizes - even after I had filed the sharp edges I thought were to blame. Had the idea to clean the sole plate and apply strips of this tape to cover the entire sole plate. It's easy to cut / trim to needed sizes or shapes, sticks well to a clean smooth surface and thick enough to be durable. Very happy with the results - tape seems well stuck and very durable, no more scratching the surface when cutting, and the circular saw even glides across the wood easier. ... show more

  • A must in the work shop
Size: 2 x 14 Inch Number of Items: 10
Use this zero gap tape on my miter saw and table saw. Works well on the miter saw but on my table saw it eventually starts to peel up because of but then I just replace it. The tape adheres very well and is easy to apply. The tape is thick and rigid. I would recommend and purchase again.

  • Great zero clearance tape
Size: 2 x 14 Inch Number of Items: 10
These are fantastic. A quick and easy way to make your saw zero clearance. Thick enough to be sturdy but not enough to impact accuracy. Highly recommend.

  • Prone to frayed/chipped edges when making the initial cut
Size: 2 x 14 Inch Number of Items: 10
So much depends on the blade you use to make the initial slot in this tape. I have a brand new Bosch 12" axial glide miter saw with the stock 60T blade. My first attempt to install a piece of this tape resulted in a slot with edges so chipped and frayed that it was useless. Second attempt went the same way. For the third attempt, I tried to make the cut while also cutting a piece of wood, using the wood as a backer board. Same problem. I've watched a lot of youtube videos where this stuff was used, and none of them looked like mine. But I noticed that most of them had finer-tooth blades than the one I was using. I was going to buy a finer tooth blade anyway, but the saw is so new I just hadn't got round to it. Still, I needed to use the saw, so I tried again one last time. This time, I went REAL slow, and only dropped the blade enough so it would just barely break the surface of the PVC tape. This seemed to work, and left me with a useably sharp edge. This particular tape isn't sold as the name-brand. But I purchased some of that tape at the same time as this, and I did try that stuff. I had exactly the same problem with the name brand tape as this stuff!! They look identical to me, except for the backing paper that gets peeled off...on the name brand stuff, that paper is branded. On this, it's blank. Otherwise, they appear identical to me, except this stuff gives you ten pieces where the other stuff only comes with 5, and THAT stuff is rolled up, where this stuff is packaged flat. I used four pieces of this stuff (in total) by the time I got a workable edge, so good thing it came with 10! I used one of the name brand stuff confirming the problem existed in both. Keep this in mind when you order...if you don't have a really fine-tooth blade that's sharp, or go REALLY slow when making that first cut (or both), you'll probably ruin the stuff. The tape is about .020" thick. If your saw's insert is at least that much lower than the bed of the saw, then this tape shouldn't cause your workpiece to rock. But if you've gone to the trouble of making everything dead-flat across the entire work surface, then remember that this tape will elevate your workpiece, leaving your cut out of square. For construction, that won't matter...but if that's what you're doing, you're probably not looking to buy this product in the first place. ... show more

  • Quick and Easy solution for Zero Clearance
Size: 2 x 14 Inch Number of Items: 5
We've used this product on our Grizzly table saw, our Makita miter saw and our Bauer bandsaw and it's awesome. It stands up to a long period of use as long as your not changing blades or angles on the table saw or band saw. We leave it on for the most part.

  • Works for me.
Size: 2 x 14 Inch Number of Items: 10
Works quite well for my use. I'm wondering why anyone would run their saw through this thing. It's just thick tape. Trim to size and apply on either side of the blade as needed, that by itself doubles the value. Duct tape works okay too but is more prone to stretching, not recommended for more than a cut or two. The goal is not to let thin work fall through or get caught up between the blade and throat plate. For that it works quite well, at least for a short time. I would ldnt trust it for a permanent solution, but in a pinch it works. ... show more
