This guitar was a second attempt at buying my son a guitar. The first one looked like this, but was actually made for toddlers. My eight-year-old didn’t appreciate that. I returned that guitar and purchased this one in hopes that it was better. I was pleasantly surprised. The sound quality, starting us and ease of use we’re all perfect. I bought this for my 8 year old stepson for Christmas. He had become really interested in music because he had seen me play my bass and guitar, and even expressed interest in playing mine. So naturally I wanted to get him one for Christmas. It’s a decent value for its price, about what you’d expect. It sounds twangy and the little 5w amp is very crackly. But if you’re not sure if a kid will stick with guitar this is a decent buy. It’s enough for them to learn the basics of guitar and whether or not they like playing enough to stick with it. It might even make a decent mod guitar for a MUCH smaller guitar player. Overall, it is not a bad buy for someone in my situation or something similar. The guitar is very cute but the mini amp doesn’t work at all. At first I thought it was missing a power cord so I used the one from my daughters karaoke machine until I noticed you can put in a 9V battery in the back but even then it never turned on. The power knob doesn’t even align with the writing. My daughter loves the guitar so I’ll figure something else out instead of returning. ... show more

My 3-year-old granddaughter loves this guitar. She also has a small real violin, drum set, timbales, and various other musical instruments. Here is a black and white photo of this pink guitar set.     • Warped neck - no truss rod - un-playable

I have bought two of these and both guitars have a warped neck. The neck bows upward in the middle and makes the guitar un-playable. There is no truss rod and the warped neck cannot be fixed. I would find another brand that sells a similar guitar but includes a truss rod in the neck.

Bought this for my 5 year old granddaughter who wanted a 'rock n roll" guitar for Christmas. She was all smiles when she got it. It's size fits her perfectly. I would recommend it.
