*******update...have had the rug a few months now and love it more as time passes. Would buy again in a heartbeat!! Wasn't sure what to expect but it exceeded my expectations. Didn't want an expensive, luxury rug because I have two dogs who can dirty things quickly. Needed a little something to step on beside the bed and this is just right. It has a thin foam layer which is nice and helps keep it in place. If you are looking for a thick, plush, faux rabbit fur rug, this isn't it! The absolute thinnest backing Ive ever felt on a rug in my life. I would've sent this back if it were for human use. Also very strong smell when you open imthe package; like paint. It is very soft though, so stars taken away for the back feeling as thing as paper, but 3 kept cldue to the fluff, although not super fluffy, was very soft. Our small pets love to lay on it.
