  • Well made, parts fit perfectly and it works flawlessly.
This is my second Dremel work station Drill press I have owned. My first one was purchased around 20 years ago. I used it constantly and for unknown reasons it was lost when I moved 9 years ago. I noticed several very nice upgrades to this one that I was very happy to see Being able to rotate the tool head to be on a horizontal plane rather than always vertical is absolutely awesome. The construction is plastic and metal but in all the time I had and used my other one, I never had one issue with that. It is a light duty tool so your not using it as you would your stand up 5 horsepower drill press. It’s a Dremel tool powering it so the construction of this press is more than sufficient. The tolerances on it are very close so doing delicate work is made much easier with this press. As I mentioned, it is light duty work and it handles that job perfectly. I love the fact that a simple clamp can secure it to a bench top and it’s light enough to move it anywhere. This is actually one of my favorite tools in the shop. Fun and easy to use I’m so happy I have this back in my shop. It will get a workout. Highly recommend it. ... show more

  • Excellent value and quality for the price!
The swivel and ability to hook up a cheap flex-shaft gives me several great tools in one. Takes 1-2 minutes to switch from a decent mini drill press to a tiny rotating drum grinder (very useful in my work!!)… and then to a flex shaft, and back.

  • Dremel Workstation is versatile and made well
I’ve used Dremel tools for a very long time, using the Workstation transforms the tool into a rotary sander, a drill press, a buffer, a drill, a cutter, it’s so versatile and takes very little space. Yes, I have full size router, drill, sanders, saws, but the space required to work with these tools is a lot, and I don’t always need a standard-size power tool to get the job done. If Dremel isn’t such a great product to some, then why are so many manufacturers copying the tool’s versatility? Dremel is a good product. ... show more

  • Works with my 30 year old model 395
I bought this to drill perpendicular 3/32" holes in 3/4" square teak blocks as the bases for my Christmas Village street lights, with my Dremel 395. As noted by other reviewers, because the only point of attachment is the screw tip on the Dremel, there is some play, which could result in a hole not being perpendicular to the workpiece. I double checked the plumb of the Dremel mounted, with a 1/8" SS rod in the collet, and was surprised how much off plumb the rod was from the base of the workstation. My fix was to add a false wood base on top of the workstation base, equipped with 1/4" threaded inserts and screws, to align that false base perpendicular to the rod, and add 3/8" T slots to position hold down clamps and stops. ... show more

  • Good deal!
Works well. I had a previous version of this and hated it. This has a sturdy base, fairly easy to change settings too. Feels more like a real drill press.

  • Be careful with the nut that holds the tool on
I love the design, but stripped the nut that holds on the Dremel tool, I stripped the Tool too, can't put on any attachments, think I overheated it trying to connect to the extender tool, both of these happened soon after purchasing, but I can't blame the tool, I just wish the important parts were more sturdy. Had to re buy tool in the middle of a project. ... show more

  • I hoped for better
The first impression I got was that it needs to be attached (screwed down) to a bench. Now, for this kind of tool, that is the ONLY safe way to use it. But the next thing I noticed is that that base plate is really thin aluminum. I mean REALLY thin. Best be careful how hard you torque that downow the plate will crack. Everything else appears to be to a standard I expect from Dremel. ... show more
