Size: 12 Inch, 6.2 A, 3/4 HP, Lathe Combo
Build quality is excellent. To have a massive drill press and a high quality lathe for the price is exceptional. This thing is a beast at 130 Pounds (59kg). To purchase separately would be upwards of $1200.00. Conversion to either is very simple. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a drill press/l
athe. UPDATE: Don't panic nothing major just an observation.😔 When in lathe mode the motor air cooling intake is right below where all the chips fall. I temporarily installed a piece of screen covering the existing vent but eventually I would use a piece of pipe that would extend beyond the machine base to ensure proper air flow for the motor.

Excellent multi-purpose tool!!
Size: 12 Inch, 6.2 A, 3/4 HP, Lathe Combo
Excellent multi-purpose tool!! It nicely handles typical drill press tasks as well as basic to intermediate level lathe work. Well made tool, considering it was made in China.

Can't use - wrong parts provided! Waiting! Can't use - wrong parts provided! Waiting!
Size: 12 Inch, 6.2 A, 3/4 HP, Lathe Combo
This review is for the wood lathe/drill press combo unit (not the typical drill press). I assembled the unit only to discover that the supplier provided the wrong arbor for the drill chuck. My weekend project was shot after this discovery. The arbor is way too small and won't hold the chuck. Evidentl
y, Bucktool rolled out this new model without their U.S. headquarters even having a copy of the owner's manual. When I called (on a Monday), I was told they haven't even seen the tool yet. It was only released to Amazon. So, maybe I'm the first one to get this tool and my time dealing with Bucktool will save others a bunch of downtime. On Monday, Bucktool told me they didn't have anything to reference and asked me to send a pic of the arbor/chuck mismatch. On Tuesday morning (EST) I sent about ten pics (each labeled) with a very detailed description of each pic. The pics showed the size of each part with a tape measure carefully placed next to it. Bucktool is 3 hours earlier (PST) than where I am (EST). I waited a couple days and reached out Wednesday evening. I was told that the email was received and they are working on it. In the meantime, I have a $460 tool that is nothing more than a 120lb paperweight. Early Friday morning, I finally got a reply from Bucktool saying the wrong arbor was provided. They asked me to provide the Amazon order number, the serial number and my address and phone so they could send me the correct part. My address and phone were included in the original email (they must've overlooked that). I sent the information they requested Friday morning before they opened. I'm now waiting for confirmation that the part was shipped and hoping they sent it next day air or second day air because I bought this tool for a specific project that I'm not able to finish until the tool is operable. So, two weekends have been lost due to this incorrect part. VERY frustrating. The tool seems like a heavy duty, decent quality product. The only issue that I can see without being able to use the machine is a clicking noise when lowering the drill press (see video). The cap opposite the handle to raise and lower the drill press pops in and out. I thought this piece was a cheap chrome plated piece of plastic (it sounds like plastic), but it is actually metal so I'm not too concerned about it beaking. I'll just have to get used to the annoying clicking sound. The assembly instructions are decent but there is no information regarding the actual use of the tool. I'm sure most of us know how to use a drill press. Unfortunately, I have zero experience with a wood lathe and don't know where to start. Bucktool sent nothing to help with this. Also, the instructions show two different assemblies for the lathe portion but do not distinguish that they are not to be used together. They are two different ways of using the lathe. Again, I have no idea so instructions would be very nice. This unit is a variable speed drill press which van be changed by rotating a handle on the left side of the unit (no need to open the cover and move belts). This is a great feature that I'm excited to put to use (someday). The table is cast iron (not aluminum) which is a huge plus (and something Bucktool should put up in lights). The base is relatively large and heavy duty. The table height adjustment is smooth (albeit a bit loose and a little sloppy) but it locks into place nicely. I believe I'll be pretty happy with this unit once I get the correct parts. Hopefully the chuck arbor is the only issue I'll encounter. I haven't even plugged the tool in yet so I can't provide a review of the quality, accuracy or durability at this time. I will update if/when I get the correct part and have put the tool to work.

Great product for the price, the vendor was responsive.
Size: 12 Inch, 6.2 A, 3/4 HP, Lathe Combo
The product is a great product for the money, although it was shipped with the wrong size Chuck, not the vendors fault! It's on the manufacturer. The vendors tried to work through it with me. But couldn't solve the problem without me contacting the Chinese company. That's a no go for me. The vendor w
as awesome and offered a refund for the replacement part I found on my own.

Drill chuck arbor doesn't fit chuck
Size: 12 Inch, 6.2 A, 3/4 HP, Lathe Combo
The wood lathe works well, but I just tried to convert it to the drill press and the chuck won't mount with the arbor supplied with the press. I give it 3 stars because the lathe does work well, but it's useless as a drill press. I followed the instructions and also referred to the videos but the chu
ck arbor is just too small to fit the chuck so any attempts to mount it results in the chuck just falling off.

Durable but need better instructions
Size: 12 Inch, 6.2 A, 3/4 HP, Lathe Combo
Durable construction. This unit is very smooth whether using as a drill press or lathe. Nice power while still obtaining a quiet operation. The midi lathe operation is very nice for anyone from the amateur enthusiast to mid level pro. Although it has a sturdy build it is still light enough to be move
d around the shop. The only draw back i can find after two months of use it the drill table. It seems to be offset to one side by 1/4 inch and is not centered on the chuck. The laser centering light is a nice touch except when you lower the drill to the working platform. The chuck blocks the light from the work surface.

Better than entry-level definitely worth the money. All levers and switches seem to work really well.

Easy assembly and well made.
Size: 12 Inch, 6.2 A, 3/4 HP, Lathe Combo
Arrived sooner than expected. Easy assembly. Taller than I thought. Except no where in the instructions does it show or tell you to install the pin in the head above the 2 bolts. I like the fact that all the lock handles are the same. No guessing which one goes where. Turned it on after assembly. Wow
this thing has good power and very quiet. Almost couldn't tell it was running. Doesn't bog down like my other benchtop. Easy speed adjustment. Haven't tried the lathe yet. Need to buy some tools for that. Make sure you have someone help put it on a bench. At 129 lbs it's top heavy and awkward to lift. Very pleased with the purchase.
