Been using Cajun Line for about 8 yrs now. Both fresh and salt water. Very pleased with its overall performance and durability. Thank you for a good quality product.

  • Casts smoothly, doesn’t fray, doesn’t stretch
Color: Quarter Pound Spool Style: 1450-yard/10-pound
I was concerned when I began spoiling my reels with this line that it would have a lot of memory because it appeared to while coming off the spool but I was pleasantly surprised at how little memory this line has. The line casts very smoothly on its way off the reel (used on a spin caster and spinning reel). I decided to try this line for catfishing so at night I could see the red line in my head lamp more easily and it is very visible in the head lamp; the line is marketed as low vis but where I fish for catfish the water is murky so that wasn’t a selling point for me. The line is strong and we were able to pull in a couple of catfish on our first outing with this line. The line held up to rocky debris covered bottom with out fraying. The line also didn’t show any signs of stretching, but the fish we caught weren’t huge so maybe they just weren’t strong enough. Overall I am very pleased with the quality of this line especially for the price point. ... show more

  • Cajun line is my secret weapon for bass fishing.
Color: Quarter Pound Spool Style: 1600-yard/8-pound
8lb test is the perfect size in monofilament it just has that smooth forever cast, 6lb is better until you break off that lunker and understand why Luke Combs "Beer never broke my heart" starts of with that line. Cajun line pretty much disappears under water, it's perfect for Texas rigged senkos, casting out shad-raps, fluking flukes I even use it for top water. Cajun line is pretty abrasion resistant but it will snap at a kink left from a bird's nest... It's monofilament so change your line often, like when the line starts fading or starts getting spool memory. I fish often so I have to change my line often plus I use a baitcaster. This line is strong so you can crank in them bass once you got he hook set. Try some out you can't lose don't let the price deceive you, Cajun line is "reely" good. ... show more

  • Cajun line is good in Kentucky too!
Color: Quarter Pound Spool Style: 1450-yard/10-pound
Muddy water and darker colored line seems to be a good combination. Monofilament is always good when casting over obstacles and skipping and dragging over them without fraying or breaking. I like cajun line in my zebco 33 reels, my small to medium spinning reels, and smaller bait casters. 4, 10, and 17lb are my picks. Over 17lb line, I'm going to go braided anyway. I might try a heavier Cajun line leader for catfishing if they ever reject a braided line. Cajun holds a knot fine, and I've used it in the same reels for years, without serious degradation. I keep mine inside when I'm not using it, so the sun doesn't break it down. Reel it on in the right direction, and it minimizes memory problems, and use swivels with your spinners, and it should last the whole season. If you don't need gourmet or boutique fishing line, Cajun looks and performs just fine at a reasonable price ... show more
