I've switched all my fishing gear from monofilament to this fantastic braided mono. No complaints on performance but I will say it is tough to cut -too tough for my old teeth, anyway. Slippery to knot onto a spool, too. An Arbor knot won't hold so I had to follow up with a double granny. I'm using 30Lb since even this is smaller diameter than 6Lb mono! If your rig can hold 100 feet of mono, it will hold three times as much of this spiderwire. Not really practical unless you are fishing from the Royal Gorge bridge. LOL! ... show more

The Spiderwire EZ Fishing Line offers a good balance of strength and smooth casting, making it a great choice for beginners and casual anglers. It’s easy to spool, casts well, and has decent knot strength. However, it’s not as abrasion-resistant as premium braided or fluorocarbon lines, so it may fray if used around rocks or heavy structure. It works best for open water fishing and lighter applications. This braid is made differently than most others but I have had good luck with it. The braid is strong and it casts better on my spinning reels than what I had on it before. I highly recommend this for spinning gear.
