These pillow inserts are great, especially since I've bought others in the past and have not been impressed. These, however, are a game-changer. They arrive tightly-packaged and need time to breathe, and I put them in my dryer for about 5 minutes on air-only. it is very hard to lay your hand on decent/value down pillow these days. I bought one from IKEA which had the least amount of insert and was half the price of these. I then decided to give these a try. they are ok. I will be keeping them. HOWEVER, look at the label! 1% down, I guess just so you can legally call it down pillow. I underestand it can not be 50-50, but 1%?? anyways, just know what you are buying. Also, the cover does not fully contain feather quills and quite a few of them will poke you here n there. on a positive note, it is definitely more substantional than IKEA ones and have a good heft to them. ... show more

Arrived the next day in perfect condition. Very vacuum sealed, so be careful when opening. Pillow fluffed itself for a few minutes & then placed in dryer for 5 minutes on air dry! Wow! It is as puffy as can be. Very strong looking fabric that Shd keep feathers in & wear well. Fit perfect with 26” pillow cover. Extremely pleased with this purchase!! Highly recommend! ... show more

    • Great down inserts - full, no odor, fluffed up well in dryer
I am really pleased with these 18x18 down inserts, they are working great inside my 16x16 sofa throw pillow covers. The shipping packaging wasn't great, but I won't hold the product responsible for that. Upon opening the plastic bag containing the inserts, I immediately checked for an odor since that was a concern based on some reviews. I didn't detect any odor, and the cotton coverings were nicer than I expected. I followed the instructions on the label and put the inserts in the dryer on air fluff setting with two rubber softener balls. When I took them out they had fluffed up considerably. Still no odor, which is great. I put them in my leather pillow covers, which were filled out well. I'm sure there will be some settling over time, but I guess I'll just put them back in the dryer to fluff them back out. Added benefit - they were about half as expensive as the same size inserts I tried unsuccessfully to order from Bed Bath and Beyond. Guess I got lucky there. ... show more
