    • Pretty wardrobe staple at a good value

This skirt is a nice wardrobe staple. The midi length allows for a dressy, work, or weekend casual look - I chose in classic black. The satiny (i.e. polyester) fabric has a medium-shine to it, and it is machine washable (although I have not washed it yet to comment on how well it comes out). The cut is flattering without emphasizing my slight "mom-pooch". The side-zipper waist lays nicely along the hip line, but know that the zipper does not have the hook-and-eye that most skirts have. It can be a little tricky to zip up. I am 5'7", 147 lbs and 39" hip. Medium fits me true-to-size. The only reason I gave this 4 stars is that it is not quite as nice as a washable silk pull-on skirt I bought from another company. But this is fine and I would re-order another color. ... show more

Firstly this is a beautiful and classy-looking midi skirt. I wore it out and it was very elegant and flowy! I ironed the black one and the seams were well-made and smooth I noticed. It’s a good thickness but it’s not the kind of satin that’s impervious to wrinkles. I’m 5’7”+ and 128lbs and a Medium fits quite snugly. As you can see from the photos my waist is not thick, but I am short-waisted (narrowest part of my waist is a little too high up to my bust, and would be better if a little lower down towards my hips). If seeing any stomach pooch sticking out drives you crazy, you’ll definitely want to wear it up a little higher which camouflages it nicely. Keep in mind through that bias-cut satin is not a friend of lumps and bumps! I tried a Large (the “Pastel Peach, which is really a beautiful champagne color) and thought it would make my stomach pooch look a little less noticeable but not so. You’ll probably notice that the Large makes it look worse. I also ordered the pink which is NOT a cerise pink like the photo— it’s a dusty mauve-rose so it’s going back. I’m returning the Large “Pastel Peach” and ordering a Medium instead as this skirt is overall a winner! Hopefully this is helpful to you! ... show more

The skirt is lovely, I love the length and how flowy it is. Very nice for any occasion can be dressed up or down !!BUT!!BUT!! The material is extremely sensitive to any sharp object causing snagging and any liquid/ oil/ lotion causing stains. Basically don’t get close to anything pointy or sharp and don’t be around anything that can stain the skirt like food or really just anything at all that isn’t water because even after washing my skirt the stain didn’t come off. All this to say the skirt is super fragile and because of the material hard to fix in my opinion unfortunately I think if I hadn’t gotten the snagged piece between my hands and pulled it in opposite direction so the thread could go back in place, unfortunately this didn’t work and the snagged piece does look noticeable in person on the skirt, so do any stains. Great skirt if your looking for a single occasion and not a staple piece in wardrobe !! Buyer Beware ... show more

The skirt will be very versatile. Can be worn every season. I'm 5'6 and It hits about mid calf which is perfect for me. I machine washed the skirt and it came out fine. However I do notice it is hard to get some of the wrinkles out and may wrinkle easy when wearing, due to the okay quality. It's not satin on both sides, but also it is not see through.
