Contains 14 strands of electrical conductors and has a breaking load of 890 lbs. It is easier to install, repair and splice than regular wiring and will not rust. Roll contains 2" x 500 feet of white poly tape.

Pros: great product, looks clean and very visible for the horses. Holding up nicely. Cons: 2 out of the four rolls I bought were NOT 500ft which was disappointing. I still have 1 basically full roll left so I wont know with that one until I use it.

So, this is hard to review because I ordered 6 of these for an electric fence for horses. One of the 5 rolls (6th is extra) I used wasn't made right and would not pull tight correctly. This one 500 foot part (2400 feet total fence line) of my fence waves in the wind and is very noticeable from a distance. Yes, all 5 sections of this are pulled tight and the rest of them don't blow in the wind. Over all good. FYI if you get about 30 feed into putting this poly tape up and the top or bottom wont get tight, stop and return it for another. You wont be able to get this tight when you are done. ... show more

We do really like this. It's used on our farm of Beef cattle to help prevent the new calves from running under the fence. Only drawback is that it doesn't seem to carry the electricity as well so we had to use a much stronger fencer. Now it works good. As the picture shows, much of the roll was Unwoven and completely unusable. This was true of both rolls I used today. Had to use multiple splicers to try to patch together usable pieces. Very poor quality. I bought 4, but am dreading using the next roll. Probably lost at least 50 feet due to unusable portions. ... show more

I installed this tape across 4 paddocks (2,000 ft) to keep my horses off the nice wood fence. It works great and looks nice too. I ran it along the inside of the top board so you can't see it much.
