Initially put the rug in a sun room but it smelled SO bad! The hot humid air brought out a 'wet dog' smell... We were about to return it but my daughter begged me to keep it. My teen daughter loves this in her bedroom. It is super soft and extremely comfortable. Also, our Dyson vacuum sweeps over this with ease - I would assume that other vacuums would get stuck with the height of the shag. First let me say when I got the box I thought I had received the wrong package because there was no way of rug was fitting in the size box that I got. I opened it up and it was vacuum sealed in the rug was actually there. Let me accurately describe this as being weird as stated in other reviews. Obviously for the price point this wasn't a fabulous rug. However this actually is an oversized bath type of rug. It does not sit well on top of any other rugs if this is going to be used as an area rug. I thankfully was planning on placing it on a bare floor and I also used some really good gorilla duct tape to adhere it to the floor so that it doesn't move. I have three children so I wasn't looking for an extremely expensive rug basically for about 3 months or so through the winter and just updated my living room. If you are going to place this in a large bathroom or makeup area on a bare floor totally fine but do not plan on using it atop another rug or you will be tripping all the time. My kids loved it however the softness is very nice but you get what you pay for and the picture that they show is not accurate and appearance. ... show more

I bought This rug for my dogs to lay on in the kitchen so they won’t be under my feet. I wanted it to be something a little bit soft and furry that they would want to lay on. Which it is. It’s very soft and it has a very minimal amount of cushion. For the price I didn’t expect it to have a lot of cushion. I also wanted it to be machine washable which it is, but when I pull it out of the dryer the inside padding and the fur layer sort of separate and reconnect wrinkly if that makes sense. So while it’s still warm I’ll put my feet on two corners and grab the other two corners with my hands and sort of pull it taught to minimize those wrinkles. The more times I wash it the harder it is to get those wrinkles out. With dogs I have to wash it pretty much every week. If you didn’t need to wash it as often this wouldn’t be as much of a problem and for how cheap it is it would still be a nice option. Also, if I didn’t dry it in the dryer and just hung it I may not have this problem. But the one time I hung it, it wasn’t as fluffy and nice looking... ... show more
