Review of: ZAKRA Non Slip Rug Pads,Anti Skid Carpet Mat (2x3 Ft) In my tests, I’ve found that this rug pad does indeed help to keep rugs from slipping around as easily as they would without the pad but I’ve also found that the pad has to be used in a very specific way to be useful. First, this product is, to me, quite a bit like the standard shelf/drawer liner that I’ve used before. However, I do think that this rug pad is thicker and has ‘bumps’ that are larger and more substantial than ‘typical’ liners. After trying this rug pad on both tile and on carpet, meaning having an area rug on top, the pad below that and then the tile or carpet beneath that, I’ve found that the pad works about the same in both applications. I think that the way this pad works best is for me to make sure that the pad is roughly as big as the area rug that will go on top of the pad. In my tests, I’ve found that if the area rug is larger than the pad then the ‘grip’ is greatly/dramatically reduced. If the rug is larger than the pad, then stepping on the portion of the rug that isn’t directly above the gripping pad seems to me to negate the usefulness of the entire pad. Even if the pad covers 90% of the area run, stepping on the 10% of the run that isn’t over the pad makes the rug slip as easily as if there was no pad underneath. So, for me, the take away is to make sure the pad covers the area pad even if that means getting a larger pad and then cutting it down to makes sure if fits properly. I have numerous rugs on my rug floors, and I have non-slip back in like this cut up and pieces under all of them. One of my longest rugs that is in a central area of my home kept sliding because of my son and the animals, so I was excited to give this a try. Basically, it has been on my list to get a longer piece of this type of material but I just have been dealing with it for months moving the rug back where it's supposed to be (which completely drives me crazy and gives me anxiety because I like things to look neat). This particular non-slip backing was a perfect fit for my rug. It stopped the problem immediately, and I have not had to adjust it since. One thing I did with this one was used double stick tape to attach it to my rug only because I like to take all the rugs off the floor often too sweep and mop, and it's a pain to get the rugs back on top of the non slip material since they are so long. If I try to slide the rug on too for a better fit, the non slip will move with it. It's just so much more efficient and less work for me. You can easily cut this for size, but I needed the whole amount for my rug. Works great.

I have a lot of rugs on my wood floors, and I needed a couple more pieces that I could cut up because one of them didn't have enough of this type of non-slip padding underneath. The one I ordered was 2x3 ft, and I cut it up in pieces to place it where I needed it under the rug so now it sits in place better. What I had before worked pretty well, but I didn't have enough of this non-slip material underneath and I have a 6-year-old and a lot of animals which makes my rugs constantly move. This stays put right in place underneath the rug and it solves the problem. I have found I don't need the identical amount of space as the rug, and for the amount of activity in my home if I have enough for about 2/3's of the rug then it will stay put. When my son is not here my rugs don't move around, so I can tell it has to do with who's living in your home how much you will need lol. I have no complaints, this is just as good as any other non-slip material that I have for my rugs.

(2x3 Ft) It’s important to have a non-slip pad under your rugs, especially when on a slick hardwood. Rugs have slipped out from under me many times. A rug pad is a better way than putting tape down on your expensive hardwood. I can buy the pads locally here but they are much more expensive than the one here. The material kind of reminds me of the padded shelf liner that you can buy. It really looks like it's the same but with a rug pad, you can order the exact size of your rug so it fits well and works well. If you need to trim the pad, it is easy to do so with scissors. ⛵⚓Seas the Day⚓⛵
