What happens if your main A/C goes out and you can't get it repaired for a few days? You use on of these in the room you want to cool. Sure, it's not going to cool the whole house but it will keep you bedroom nice and cool so you get some relief. this would also work very well in a camper or small cabin that has no A/C. ... show more

Ordered this for one of our dog cottages . It works really well and cools really well. The cottage is not insulated, so it works overtime in this Texas heat, but it keeps it bearable during the day and get`s the place cold at night .

This little product means business! Cools wonderfully . The only reason for not rating it 5 stars is the noise level . The customer service was very responsive to my questions and I would recommend both the seller and the product !

This was definitely perfect for my kids room. It chilled the room in just a few mins! It it's over a 100°F! It was pretty simple to assemble the window kit and the attach the necessary hoses. Definitely a great fit.

    • Leaks horribly
Here’s the thing, it’s a pretty good air conditioner. I live in an uninsulated room of an old house and it does do a pretty good job of cooling it down (not so much when the temp is over 85 but that’s to be expected with this room.) it has outperformed the frigidair floor unit I previously had. The problem is that it not only somehow produces over two gallons of water *every day*, that water does not flow dependably from either of the drain ports (I’ll get to those later). Instead, water leaks from somewhere within the machine down onto the floor beneath it. It’s already caused some damage to my floor/ceiling. I know, I know, why don’t I put it in a catch pan or a plastic sheet under it, a towel? My friends, I have tried all those things but the volume of water it produces inevitably escapes. And I mean just over the course of a night while I sleep. Sometimes the draining system does work, but boy oh boy, what an odd draining system it is. There are two drainage ports. One is on the very bottom edge of the machine meaning that unless the air conditioner is on a pedestal, there is ZERO chance of gravity pulling the water out. Your only option for that drainage port is to just pop that puppy open and let it raw dog pour out into whatever makeshift capture device you can summon. The second drainage port is higher on the machine which means that I *can* attach the drainage hose and set it to empty into a pitcher- when that works, it works well, but let’s not forget the massive volume of water it creates which requires that said pitcher is emptied two to thee times a day- and you better time those emptyings right or you WILL once again have water on your floor. While the second port is higher, it presents the same overall problem as the first. This is a floor unit. No matter the weirdness of your house, the window where you vent the unit will inevitably be HIGHER than the machine is tall. That’s fine and dandy for air but does nothing at all for water. Were I to connect the drain hose to the window vent piece (where it is intended to be connected), that runoff would have no chance whatsoever of properly draining. The machine claims to have a light which indicates when the water tank is full and needs to be drained. That light has never once come on for me. And even if it did, draining it would still be the aforementioned nightmare. I suspect that this issue is somehow caused by the machine’s dehumidifier capabilities (I have never turned on the dehumidifier mode, but I can’t imagine how much MORE water the thing would be capable of making) Moral of the story is that unless you want to create an impromptu slip-n-slid from your second floor to your first, I don’t recommend this product. ... show more

Put it in my elderly Dad’s room where cool air circulation is difficult. Now he won’t come out. I have 3 portables (all different brands). Using them throughout the house has lowered electric bill considerably. Main central AC hardly comes on. The unit has a nice quiet mode. Good for TV. Without quiet mode, it’s still pretty quiet, but you have to turn the TV volume up a bit. Quiet mode diminishes efficiency somewhat. Installation is easy and nearly identical to others. ... show more

    • This is not An AC
This product is very misleading. You need to pair this with an actual AC for you to feel the benifits. This can cool down a 300 sf room maybe 1-2 degrees. Idk how this says it’s an AC and 10BTU. This is more like a fancy fan that cools a bit. Absolutely not what I was looking for or expecting. There’s window ACs at like 7Btu that can cool a whole room 10 degrees in 20 minutes. I have to leave this on permanently on so I don’t sweat. ... show more

    • So happy I bought this!!
I absolutely love it. It works for my bedroom. It gets VERY cold. I looked through tons of ACs and I’m SO glad I went with this one. It was also very easy to install. We had to cut it because it was a bit too long, but other than that, it works perfectly. You won’t regret this one! I promise!!
