They look alot like those fit over your glasses big things from High School Shop and Science classes. I don't know what I was really expecting, but it was something better than this. If they are polarized I couldn't notice it and will be using them as just safety glasses. Was hoping for some eye protection without any darkening for hunting in cold weather, mostly because cold dry wind and my contacts don't play well together and was hoping this would shield them well enough. Truthfully they did that, but pretty much limited me to only looking straight ahead, there was distortion near the edges and the side legs, so not really useful for what I wanted them to do. Z87 Polarized Sunglasses Surprisingly solid for the price. The frame feels sturdy, the lenses cut glare well, and the big square style actually looks better on than expected. They’re labeled Z87.1, so they’re meant to offer impact protection, but I’d still treat them more like everyday sunglasses, not true safety goggles. Comfortable to wear, no weird distortion, and the UV protection seems legit. Bottom line: good-looking, durable budget sunglasses with clear polarized lenses. Picked these up as I needed another pair of safety glasses and I liked the quirky design. After using them for a few hours, I'm pretty happy. They're moderately comfortable, though if you have a XXL helmet-sized-head like I do, then they may feel a bit tight after an hour or two. Lens clarity is adequate for plastic lenses, though not exceptional. I also wish the nosepiece was more than just bare plastic, but it functions as expected. Have not tested scratch resistance but they're well built, so I trust the Z87.1 certification they advertise. I'd say for the asking price this is fine, but I wouldn't plan on wearing these all day. ... show more

I think the listing for these glasses is wrong because these are neither sunglasses nor polarized at least if you get the clear/clear ones. I was curious if there was a polarized film on the clear glasses because that would be kind of cool but I checked and there is absolutely no glare reduction of any kind. They are just clear safety glasses and no more. As far as safety glasses go they fit very well and are very snug, much better than the cheap safety glasses I purchased from the hardware store before. I wasn’t sure I was going to like these glasses taking them out of the package. They look odd being very flat. But in the end, it’s a great odd! The lenses in these are amazing. So crisp and clear and the flatness of them is great because there is zero distortion. The weight of the frame isn’t too late or too heavy. It’s perfect. They are very comfortable to wear. I really love the wide side pieces that will keep the sunlight out while driving and fishing They are definitely on the larger size, so if you have a small face, you probably won’t enjoy them. The size is 55 – 18–143 for reference. It comes with a microfiber, cleaning piece, and a soft drawstring bag. The polarization in them is great, no glare. The materials seem to be of high quality and it is nice to have some protection on the side. However, I was intending to use this at a range and got second thoughts as I was comparing them to my usual safety glasses. As I was turning my head and looking at various objects, I noticed a sort of imperfection in the lens. Turning them at an angle and looking at bright things, I do notice some distortion or aberration. They seem like they would do the job of protecting your eyes and they are a good size to do that as well. They fit great too. I like everything about them except for that distortion which basically makes these not something I'll reach for often. If I'm using hand tools or something, these will be the first ones I reach for, however. ... show more

These polarized glasses have big lenses to take in a lot of scenery. However, they are not safe for driving because the temple pieces block side or peripheral vision due to how wide they are. They would be great to wear at the pool, the beach, a ball game, or any outdoor activity. Of course, a passenger could wear them. I would not choose to wear them while riding in a vehicle since they are not impact resistant. I only took away one star for the aforementioned negative points.
