  • Fantastic choice for your first full frame camera.
Style: Camera + 24-50mm Compact Set: w/ Lens
I love this thing! However it isn’t without issues. The Frames per second. Is a bit low at like 4.5 but unlike Canon you can use third party lens with this camera. I would recommend for a persons 1st full frame camera. If they don’t plan on taking action shots at sporting events or fast things in motion. If you want to take those kinds of shots buy the Canon R8. ... show more

  • Super easy to use camera 📸
Style: Camera + 24-50mm Compact Set: w/ Lens
Oooohhhh boy! I love this camera. It takes killer pictures, and straight out of the box it was easy to use. It’s also small enough to haul around. So far the battery has been doing great. The only complaint I have with this is the charge light never changes from red to green. But that’s it.

  • Great Camera
Style: Camera + 24-50mm Compact Set: w/ Lens
I bought this camera to take vacation pictures. It takes stunning pics. This camera has lots of bells and whistles, I like the fact that it is automatic as well and manual. It can take raw and jpeg images.

  • takes a bit of tweaking to get it there
Style: Camera + 24-50mm Compact Set: w/ Lens
Edit 9/28/20: Docking a star, I find my self struggling more with shadows and unwanted dark areas in pictures that I just don't have when using my 10 year old Cannon EOS 60D. Also, focus is confusing with this camera, you can focus with the shutter button, a AF button, and by touching the screen it sets focus modes. All these different ways makes it easy to get it into a focus mode you don't want to be in at the moment, sometimes I just want it to stick to center focus! Original Review 9/15/20: I was excited to get this camera for I've been using DSLR's all my life and I've been really interested in the mirrorless evolution of cameras. I'm just an amateur photographer and have owned a Cannon EOS 60D for the past 10 years. When I first started shooting with the Nikon Z5 using full auto I was a bit disappointed the color was quite off and there was a lot of shadows, it was not able to get even close to what the eye can see. I quickly started playing with the settings and ended up at the end abandoning auto mode it just did not produce a good photo for my liking. I ended up setting on P Mode which you can adjust more settings like how metering is done. With this mode I was quickly able to adjust the lighting both in color and contrast to more closely represent what the eye sees and what the camera will take a snapshot of. Accessories you need to buy before getting your camera: What you need for this camera is a 52mm UV filter for the lens, a Lens hood (which at the time of this review can't be found anywhere), a single Class 3 V30 SD Card, and last but not least a carrying case. All that will set you back another $150 to $200. Also, you will eventually want a flash (no flash on the camera), and a tripod these can set you back another $200 easy. You find a lot of complaints about this not being a good video camera but it does holds it own for those amateurs.. All video modes record for a max length of 30 minutes. Using 1080P@60fps high quality you get around 200MB per minute with 4k@30 its about 1 Gigabyte a minute. for me 4k just gobbles up too much space and I record and post everything at 1080P@30fps usually action fast action I use 60fps. Yes 4K does not use full frame but instead its a 1.7x crop meaning you will see quite a zoom when you move it to 4K, but your still recording at full 4K just no oversampling going on. Sure it would be nice to get full frame at 4K but those who do it such as the Cannon R6 is $1000 more and they have overheating problems. The Cannon R6 I actually almost purchased despite the heat issue, but this Nikon came along and I decided to give it a go. Cons... The only real complaints I have with this camera... 1st you don't have a selfie screen, meaning the screen does not flip around so you can see it when your pointing the camera at your self, Cannon has a fully articulating screen which is the best I've ever seen. 2nd the main button to take pictures with is a squishy button, its hard to tell when it is half way pressed for focus and fully pressed to take the picture, also by default the shutter button sound is off, best thing to do is go in the menu and turn it on, this will make it much easier to know when your focused and your snapping shot. Kind of a 3rd thing, but this goes for most all mirrorless is that there is no flash built into the camera. If your still reading: I setup a youtube channel under my Amazon profile (YC: robochick) and posted several videos using this camera at 1080p @60fps. if you watch the videos pay attention to the autofocus and lighting. My main complaint is the HDR abilities while shooting video and pictures for that matter its takes some work to get it as good as the eye can see. I'd prefer it to be better then the eye can see. ... show more

  • I don't have a bias, but I love Nikon and this camera
Style: Camera + 24-50mm Compact Set: w/ Lens
I bought this day 1 and knew that I should have, could have waited for a price drop but I couldn't help it. I was very excited for the new Z camera and thought it would be the perfect upgrade from my old camera. And it is! I recommend this camera and definitely get the lens adapter for more choices on what lenses you want to use. ... show more
