This tool is designed to crimp heavy duty copper end terminations for heavy current carrying conductors and includes the compression tool (hydraulic) and a set of dies for various sized terminations. The tool is easy to handle and use and provides more than adequate force for crimping use. It has plastic covered handles and a rotary knob for releasing pressure. The dies are hexagonal (6 sided) and provide a neatly finished crimp on wires. All this comes in a 2 snap-closed plastic case with an operation manual. The dies are a bit loose and some tend to move around but that is cured by placing a small section of foam over the dies before closing the case which also cuts down on the rattle when the case is transported. A small inside portion of the case had been broken but the damage was insignificant so far as keeping the tool, dies and structural integrity of the case as intended. It had one additional die compared to some other offerings so that was a bonus. All in all, a good tool with easy to understand directions and a good build which should make it last quite a while in normal use.

the hydraulic crimper was easy to use, only used the 2-0 one so don't know about the others but that one worked great. the cutter was a bonus and made shockingly square cuts. even it I never use this again, it already paid for itself not having someone else make my new battery cables

This worked great with my wiring project. I got this to rewire some connections on a vehicle but it also worked great for small electrical connectors.

Strong, decently well made, comes with spare o-rings, nice selection of dies. The only (small) issue I had was that one of the magnets which hold the dies in place when the tool is open was loose and fell out. I re-inserted it into the die guide pin hole and it's stayed there since I crimped the first time with it. If it falls out again, I'll just put it in with some adhesive and it'll be good! Other than that, it's well built and has a good solid feel to it. It also crimps like a champ!
