    • It's a beast...
I have to admit that I was terrified when I saw another review calling this a scam AFTER I had ordered it. I'm not sure how accurate that other persons review might have been. Maybe it was factual, maybe he works for another competing company and wanted to ruin Yume's business? Never can tell these days. I absolutely hated that they chose to use Fedex to ship it. I've had nothing but bad experiences with Fedex. True to form, they delivered a soggy cardboard box wrapped in packing tape where they had smashed it a bit. Makes me wonder if Fedex actually lands their planes or just pushed the packages out the door as they fly over.. Please pick ANOTHER carrier! Packing could have been better but despite Fedex's efforts to destroy it, I found no damage on the actual scooter! Assembly was stupid easy and took all of maybe 5 minutes. For some reason I haven't discovered the secret of making the keyswitch tight but I've only had it a day. My last electric scooter was 1 wheel drive, 800 watt. NO Comparison.. I was unfamiliar with the different mode buttons and started off in a higher speed than what was really safe for me. ROCKET SHIP! Whoosh! Scared the hell out of me!!!! Since we were also in the middle of a Northeaster and I was riding in the rain on wet leaves, I couldn't have possibly done this with greater difficulty. Even so, I managed not to kill myself! I parked it and walked away until today. Now it's dry at least. Way too cold for this but that also didn't stop me. I am more confident now that I have figured out the controls and until the tires get some wear on them, 2nd gear is all I dare to use. It's SO fast! Now... The bad side so far is that the brakes are TOO responsive and the accelerator isn't responsive enough. When you want to go and start squeezing the trigger at first you get nothing, nothing, nothing, LURK!, WARP SPEED! It's certainly NOT gradual just yet. Might be something I have to learn though. As for brakes, at higher speeds, just a tap will practically lock the wheels and send you flying. That might also be something I need to learn or it might be the newness of the brake pads. It's gt extreme stopping power! The seat is typical and uncomfortable. No surprise. I have a new one on the way that will be here tomorrow. I would have liked more foot area on the deck but I can add that myself eventually to make it a little wider. The light and horn are great btw. No problems there. Anyhow, that's my review for now. I will update it as I run this thing. For the moment I am quite happy! ... show more
