I am a kayaker and snorkel…this vest is great. i like that it has a side zipper, and that the front is divided into several foam pieces (instead of the usual 2 blocks in front style. The movement is easier. i like the strap loops on the back. The mesh bottom makes sitting in the kayak easier and less sweaty. I ordered an O’neil, onyx and this one. The others either rubbed under my arms, was so far out in the front made it hard to paddle or was so long that when i sat down it would ride up to my chin. This Yukon is a tad shorter and doesn’t ride up like the others. Out of the 3, this was the best fit, float and style for me. I am 5’3” around 110. I have the straps pulled as much as they can be, fits perfect and if need be i could lend it to someone bigger than me. ... show more

This life vest was one amongst purchases of many other life vests and I was happiest with this one. A universal adult size of small is usually a men's size and they are always too big. I'm 5'1" and 118lbs and this one at X-small fits nice and snug with lots of room to uncinch and adjust if needed. Took it out on the kayak for the first time this weekend and it was comfortable for the entire 3 hours we were on the water - and my family could see me from a distance cause it is brightly colored, but not annoyingly so. ... show more

We bought this for our “average size for an 11 year old” 93lb/8 year old, and it just fits on the smallest cinching. The vest does a great job offering mobility and comfort of wear for someone with who is paddling or otherwise being active. It has nice reflective strips near the shoulder straps and the zipper is strong. It is a little bit challenging to zip if you are on the “short arms” scale, as the zipper is on one side and if you have short arms you are reaching directly across the.. girth of the best. This vest is cheap and I returned it for a Stohlquist. The Stohlquist cost more -- and was a better value. Invest in a PDF that's comfortable. One that you like and will actually wear. A vest that's tossed in the back of the boat won't protect you when you need it!

This runs large/unisex sizing. I'm a 5'7" 160 lb woman and the S/M had to be tightened all the way to not rise up on me. I gave the S/M to my 6' husband and it's great for him. I reordered the XS/S for me and it's a better fit. This may be too large for women size 0-4.
