This is exactly what I expected for the price it cost. I knew it wasn't going to be anodized based on the reviews I already read.....it fits nicely on my Maverick X3. I would have given it 5 stars, however the width is misrepresented by about a 1/16 of an inch, give or take. It is pictured as being 1.18" wide, and I bought a 1.25" wide D ring to go along with it. Great price, easy to install if you have a way of removing the c clip that is in place. I used a sock to install it back in. I have multiple D rings. Another review noted that this product was too wide for their D ring. My two D rings that came with a new bumper did NOT work. However, my older D rings (Same size in description) worked with space, just fine. Maybe took 10 minutes to install. The paint/coating feels like plastic, so not sure what paint was used. I like these better than hooks and highly recommend their use. ... show more

My set up is a Smittybilt winch on a Southern Style Offroad bumper on my 2016 5th Gen 4Runner. i have the X20 winch and I cut the original hook off with an angle grinder and a cut off blade. Looks and functions exactly like the name brand, but at a GREAT price! Some of the paint around the hole for the D-Ring is chilling off, but I keep the D-Ring in it all the time and it's not noticeable.
