I bought this knowing some people had issues so was ready to return it, this is the exact size of the small safe HFT sell, I have an old one of those its a lot heavier and sturdier than this new one but the keypad part is having issues. I wanted a quick fingerprint touch one and this has it, programmed fine think I had to do it twice before I realized it needs you to scan your finger about five times, the instructions (basically a small sheet of info) is practically useless. but it scanned the fingers okay and works fine. The only really annoying thing is the loud beep it makes when activated, if you wanted to use this quietly at night it just wouldn't work. I won't advertise to do this but I just removed the beep sounder part from the circuit board but you could just tape over it to make it muffled. Now its perfect. If someone wants to get into this they will as per usual its the delay tactic to cause them issues from taking whats yours and also to keep prying little fingers away from things.

I bought this little lock box for my elderly parents, who have a new housekeeper. I wanted them to have a safe convenient place to store their valuables with fingerprint technology so they didn’t have to remember where they hid a key or remember a combination. This is a good sturdy unit, however, the key is difficult to get into the lock, and the knob one uses to lock and unlock the safe is small and difficult to operate. It feels cheaply made. Everything works though, and it is a suitable product for my parents. I do believe they could improve the product and keep the price point where it is now though.

It’s sturdy and pretty. The fingerprint reader works well. But there’s no good way to open the door. I’m considering gluing a handle on it. The door is solid and heavy so the tiny plastic half circle is kind of a pain to use to lift the door open.

Product is as advertised. Easy to set up and use the fingerprint option. There is also an option to use keys, but they also cover that up so someone wouldn’t know it’s a key hole just from looking at it. I like the options of having both. And you can add multiple fingerprints if there are other people you’d want to have access to the safe.

It’s bigger than expected. Was well packed and arrived un damaged. The reason it doesn’t get 5 stars is after I set the biometric fingerprint I closed and locked it. My son and my brother were both able to use their index finger and open the safe. I was the only one to add my fingerprint to the library. I re read the instructions and according to the instructions I have done it correctly. I am going to keep the safe and delete my print and just use the key to open it. If your looking for a safe that actually works as advertised, you don’t want this one.

I bought this safe to keep my strickly controlled medications in and I bought this particular model because it supposedly had to have my unique fingerprint to open it. I set it up and it went so quick and smoothly, unlike the biometric scanner on my phone which took a number of times placing my finger tip on the reader to get it all exactly right, that after I finished I had my daughter put her finger tip on it as well and it opened right up for her and everyone else. And naturally it's past the 30 day period so I'm just out of luck all the way around. I hope this review helps someone else keep from being taken advantage of.

This safe seemed to work great when I first bought and programmed it but a few months later it does not open reliably. It takes me 50+ tries to get it to work and you can only try a few times, then you have to endure loud beeping for 30 seconds before you can try again, over and over again, until it finally decides to recognize your fingerprint.
