Color chipped few place. But that is ok. The problem is the fingerprint keypad. They don’t read my fingerprint. I tried set up with other fingers, but still not reading my fingers. After five times they lock one minute. They keep trying. This is really annoying. I end up open with keys each time. This is too expensive if you trying to consider you bought a small cabinet instead of safety box. Not worth for money. Tried to reach out to seller, but not heard anything back. I tried to return this, but you have to bring it to UPS yourself to return it. Forget about it. The box are all ripped off. It’s too heavy. Just gonna keep it as cabinet.

This is a safe, not a lock box or deterrent device. I got it to replace a safe that's the same size but broke which was double the cost & 3 times the weight, although that safe was explosion, fire & water proof & could not be used for firearms as is standard for that type of safe. This safe is not marked as any of those things & can store guns, is half the cost & a little lighter which I like. The keys are very unique & I really like them as a method to open the safe up. You may have to fumble with the key a bit but not much to get it to align & unlock the safe. It's a solid 4 star without the biometrics. Which brings me to the next part of this safe. My old safe had a pinpad combo & anyone with it could unlock it. Not going back to that unless it's a dial, not electric in any way. The biometrics took 2 attempts to set-up but work well. They bring the safe to 5 stars as they really are quite elegant & no I didn't think I'd ever use that word to describe a safe unlock. It almost pops open ever so elegantly on it's own when a fingerprint is read. Locks nicely too. It's like a smart safe or something on that level. I do believe this could withstand a fire despite it not being marked that way only because I have fireproof stuff from brand manufacturers that is literally plastic & this is definitely more durable seeming. I don't use it for anything too valuable, I store valuables off-site but I do use these safes in case of fire to protect things as I have a close relative who's a firefighter & I have heard a story or 2 of these things and the safe might be all you have left. So my advice is do invest in something like this as it could matter a lot at a time when you need it to. The inside: The safe is soft inside, maybe some kind of felt & it makes it seem very nice compared to cold metal or a plastic shelf like my old safe. It may not withstand an explosion or flooding but it isn't marketed to so for what it is it's quite nice. You can mount it to a surface like a wall as well, it comes with what you'd need to secure it to your home somewhere. Keep kids out of your stuff & if you're concerned a fireproof bag containing anything in the safe is probably just fine for the type of safe it is.

This safe has good weight and seems solidly constructed. This 1.7 cubic foot size has ample space for valuables inside and all interior surfaces are felt lined to protect delicate finishes. There is removable shelf inside and an LED interior light on the door hinge. The safe primarily opens via a biometric fingerprint scanner. The scanner is powered by 4 AA batteries (not included) and was easy to program. Scanning a stored fingerprint automatically opens the safe and closing the safe door automatically locks the safe. The scanner can read prints from any angle. I initially programmed my print with my finger pointing upward, but that angle became awkward after I moved the safe to a lower location. I pleasantly discovered the scanner works with my stored finger from any angle. The scanner feels accurate and opens the majority of the time without issue. Once in a while I may have to scan more than once but its rare. Two keys are included in the event of an electronic malfunction or drained batteries. Not a bad safe for personal use. I don’t know how well it would hold up to a brute force attack from a determined thief or how suitable it would be for professional use, but it’s fine for my casual household use. The safe is heavy but not heavy enough to prevent it from being carried away by determined thieves. There are four pre-drilled anchor holes on the safe’s rear and four anchors included that can be used to bolt the safe to a wall if desired.

This safe feels solid. I like the fingerprint scanner. I have tried to mess with it to see if it will open with another print & it doesn't. The inside is lined nicely & for the price, this is a good option. I wanted something to store both paperwork & guns/ammo. It has emergency keys as well which I find very good just because if you're not accessing it regularly, it would be easy to let the batteries run out. I don't think I would store jewelry and coins in here just because none of the paperwork says it's fire proof. That's okay with me because I have a smaller safe for those things.

Overall a pretty nice safe. It is a great size, looks good on the outside, good fit and finish and is well built. It is easy to operate and I love the fact that the entire inside of the safe is lined including the shelf. One thing to be careful of is when you open the safe door the safe will tip forward so really need to anchor it or just be careful. Also, the shelf is not very heavy duty and will bow under any weight. Should have made the shelf more heavy duty. Overall a nice safe and will do the job it is intended for.

This safe mounts to the wall and it should be an external, concrete wall. The bio-metric lock is easy to setup and works well. It locks itself when the door closes. It comes with a key to open the safe the first time, or if the batteries go dead. You obviously need to have a good place to hide the key. The only real issue is that if someone really wants what's inside the safe, it could potentially be pried from the wall and carried out, then they have all the time they need to get inside. It's a good deterrent though.
