This is a great, convenient case to keep all of my colored pencils in. Prismacolors come in a protective tin case, but the plastic trays don't secure them from banging the tips into the sides when tipped over. This case has well-fitting loops for every pencil so you can carry it any which way and they all remain secured. I have enough loops left over for my fine-liner pens, my solvent brushes, and even some larger loops for my pencil sharpener, my eraser, and a case of extra blades for my Xacto knife. I think I expected the overall size to LOOK bigger than it does, but I’m pleasantly surprised that it takes up a lot less space in my work area than some of my 72 pencil books do. It’s thicker than my 72 pencil books are but takes up less workspace than they do. I also like the fact that each of the 3 pages have their own zipper, because I put 2 different sets of pencils plus some sketch pencils in this book and only have to open the section I’m working with, leaving the rest securely zipped up so I’m not worried about knocking or dropping the color swatch pages or brushes I keep with my other individual sets onto the ground. (But not watercolor pencils; I hate watercolor pencils, and they stay in the tins because they're a MESS.) I'll say I didn't TRUST this to have and carry without damaging my favorite items, so I went slow. Now my favorites (pencils, pens, gel pens, etc) are in this lovely book! There's plenty of space between the pages so the pencils aren't BANGING against each other: STURDY FIT! I think I'm going to try to sew a pocket into the left-most end page to hold erasers and sharpeners and "tools", because my tools don't fit the special elastics. I guess they would, but I think a little "pocket" would be more helpful there (especially for files, blades, and kneaded erasers), although you can stick a fat brush in those for getting rid of eraser gunk or shavings, which is handy. I love that I think I CAN sew something into this. That's pretty sturdy, because I cannot sew! Sadly, I might have to order another one. The pens and pencils slip out so much more easily than I had imagined (I mean they're held tightly, but a tilt of the book lets you easily poke out the pencil or pen you need). This imo is far superior to the roll-up styles: I can turn pages and don't hear the sickening sound of pencils slapping together. That zipper bit is what keeps everything in place without touching: excellent design! A+ (Also, feels like leather; looks like a purse. Very fond of it.) ... show more

I like the faux leather look it's durable I've only had for a couple weeks but is fine. Though there are three separate zippers with a right and a left side pencil holder. I prefer one zipper and you can flip through the pencils. But this works out I just open all the zippers and can flip through the colors ... show more
