The media could not be loaded. Took about 15 minutes after 3d printing rail guides to perfectly align it. Came well lubricated but I put extra metal grease on rail for peace of mind. Helps to stabilize the movement on the x-axis gantry to improve print quality. Fits perfectly on most Ender 3 models EXCLUDING: V3 Versions, Plus, Max and Ender 3 S1 series. I had no issues getting this installed on my Ender 3. The kit is reasonably priced and comes in the ever-so-attractive Official Creality packaging. The instructions are simple and easy to follow. No gotchas or firmware updating required. I think the minimal investment for a kit like this, to bring an Ender up to the dual-Z "standard" of fancier printers is easy to justify. I didn't do any hard before and after comparisons, but my prints are coming out great now (after adding this, and a Sprite Extruder) and I was satisfied with this purchase. I don't have any immediate plans for more upgrades but Yoopai Direct has become my go-to in that area.

Perfect upgrade for my KE to add rigidity to the frame. Also got the Creality G-sensor to re-tune the vibration since these definitely change the profile.

For a quick brwakdown: Quality: 5/5 Effectiveness: 5/5 Aesthetic: 5/5 Installation: 0/5 For starters, the product itself is both sturdy and looks like it could come stock on the Ender 3 V3 SE. It's both sleek and effective, yet insanely difficult to install properly. I got about 80% of the way through installation inb15 minutes, then spent the next 45 minutes TRYING TO THREAD BOLTS. The threaded holes where the bars attach to the assembly are 1) Insanely tight, 2) Powder coated, so accuracy is questionable at best, 3) Almost impossible to thread without re-tapping the hole or cross-threading the hole, or 4) Can't even get the bolt started at all. I eventually got all 4 bolts in, but it took a great deal of time, effort, and sanity to do so. Afterwards, I figured that I'd run a Benchy to test the results. As I'd expected, the print ran beautifully with very crisp details at a higher speed than I'd normally run. Hence, 4 stars. For the price, I'd still recommend it, but warn users to be prepared to do battle with difficult bolts.

I know I could have just bought parts & printed out stuff for my printer. What can I say? This was MUCH easier & less hassle. My only gripe would be 1 or 2 of the screws were a bit tough to get threaded in, like the holes were just a hair too small. Luckily I happen to have tap & die set that did the trick of opening up the holes. Installation was relatively easy to do. It does the job of stopping the gantry from wobbling during a print.

Bottom line is this is a waste of money, if you want to know why read on. The production quality of the support rod kit is honestly top tier. Packaging was sufficient and documentation for the product was above average, and assembly was straight forward. All the parts are well made, have reinforcement where required, and it look great. Unfortunately this is a case of "Form over Function" though because looks are not everything. The kit is supposed to support your printers gantry by tying the highest point of it to the base and reduce flex. This is accomplished with brackets that are connect supporting rods that are threaded at both ends to eye bolts. To line everything up you screw in (or out) the bolts to the length you want and then attach them to the brackets. This is at best a "coarse" adjustment because you're limited to the thread pitch and rotations as to how much you can properly align it. The FAILURE of this product is when they manufactured the support rods they threaded both ends of the rods in standard threading . Perhaps it was an oversight or perhaps it was a cost saving measure because having to retool mid process is going to cost a little bit more as well as sourcing reversed threaded hardware would increase cost. The problem is by having both ends threaded the same when you "twist" the rod all it will do is either slide up or slide down. If the threads were opposite of one another then the user could turn the rod and change the length (and consequently the tension between the base and the gantry). As it is you can't properly tension it so the only purpose it serves is the gantry wobble will be limited by the slop in the hardware. It's such a disappointment because if it they had just done it right this would be worth every penny and I'd argue would be superior to the printed options; however, they didn't and as such I HIGHLY RECOMMEND you do not purchase this kit. It's not a complete loss if you already bought the kit because I think I can re-use the brackets and hopefully rig up some all thread to replace the rods but it won't look as pretty. Honestly the vendor/manufacturer has a reputable name for 3d printing accessories so it's a disappointment that I paid so much and still have to do extra work to make it properly do it's function.
