I needed an umbrella for an upcoming trip to a very rainy area this Fall, but since I have to take it on the plane, I wanted it to be small. So far this has exceeded my expectations for both size and value. I do not live in a very windy area, so I can't comment on the sturdiness in heavy wind, but it has worked fine for me in the rain I have used it in. It opens quickly and fully, making in INSTANT protection. I like that if I press the button again, it collapses the umbrella, but doesn't retract it. And it does it somewhat violently, which I think is great! It helps to shake off water from the sudden jerk back. You can also just press down on the top and collapse and retract it at the same time without pushing the button. The SIZE is a bit off. The written description says 42.5", but that is the length of the fabric covering you. Because it is dome shaped, your actual coverage is less. Like 38". Is it for two people? No, not really. Yes, you CAN get two people to share it, and I was able to keep two of us pretty dry, but you had better like the person and expect to basically be walking "arm over shoulder" and not "hand in hand". All said, I still think this is a decent little umbrella that works really well and I am pleased with it. It is small enough to take travelling, and I will take it, but I will also be looking for a REAL 2-person umbrella that has greater coverage. Received it the next day I need med it. Arrived at evening, next morning it rained. Perfect timing. My previous umbrella was blown out in wind. It had saved me from rain while arriving on time. Small and reasonable. Good stuff.

This is a sturdy umbrella. I haven't had a chance to test it out in extremely windy conditions yet, but it feels quite sturdy so I think it would hold up. This umbrella is really for one person.
