It was advertised as weighing one pound but it feels heavier. Much sturdier construction that others I have used of that size. It really is compact and about the size of a water bottle, so it will fit in those side pockets that backpacks and purses have for water bottles. The case is sturdy and has a good zipper. The only thing I would have to say that is negative is the handle. I know almost all small umbrellas have this type of handle but it is uncomfortable to hold on to for a long period of time or in wind.

UPDATE : HAVE USED THIS UMBRELLA FOR A WEEK NOW & IT IS SO HANDY. WAITING ON THE ONE WITH THE FLOWER! This umbrella arrived just in time for a storm. It is very cute and compact in design. The teal color is so pretty and the inner portion of the umbrella is black and I would say that the handle is probably about 20 in. Comes in a hard storage case. I think I'm going to go and order the one with the flower on it next. Very happy so far with my purchase it did its job!

This umbrella is very convenient to keep in my work purse. I love having it fit into a case. I wouldn’t use it for anything more than a short walk. It’s not super sturdy, but I recently had to test it out during a flash flood warning and it held up better than I expected! My original purchase was for my small backpack while in Disney.

This umbrella is good -you can even fit it into a little eyeglass-type case they give you which is miraculouss….and it’s a perfect purse size and weight…. The problem is that it is difficult to use! It gets stuck when you extend it and close it. Eventually if you fiddle with it enough you can manage. But it is definitely not something you can whip out in a sudden rain storm and be dry in a flash. I am hoping it will loosen up a bit after use bc I was planning to buy a few. They are just the perfect umbrella in size and weight. But it has to work !

I recently went to 2 Asian countries and both extremely hot and other days it’s raining hard. It protected me from the heat and the rain. It didn’t collapse as some reviews said. The only issue I had was that it takes 2 tries to stay open, but once it’s open, it remained open. Small enough to put in my purse.

I love the waterproof case that comes with this umbrella! It’s perfect to toss in my purse on any given day and I don’t have to worry about having to carry around an umbrella all day. The umbrella is easy to open and close and is super lightweight. I also like that it can be used to protect me from the sun, as I spend a lot of times at baseball fields watching my boys play! There is also a one-year warranty in case anything happens to it.
