    • Works on my Ego Mower without issue
Not sure if it lasted as long as my other Ego battery of the same size. However, overall, the battery works as expected. Came nearly fully charged, so ran it for around 30 minutes on my mower and then fully charged it. Basically lasted about 40 minutes fully charged. That is enough to do my front lawn fully. So I am very pleased as I can not do both the front and back and not have to wait for a battery to charge. Have also used it in the Blower, works great in that as well, didn't use for an extremely long time, but believe it should get a good amount of time on the back back blower if the mower is any indication. The charge indicator is not as nice as the Ego Battery's are. But it gives you the necessary information. Would I but this again, yes. It was a good price for a battery of this size and very pleased with it. Wish I could send my older battery in and have it re-charged or get new battery cells, allowing to eliminate the waste, and reuse existing Ego batteries. But perhaps, one day, that will happen. ... show more

I tested this item next to a 10Ah OEM battery and an 7.5Ah OEM battery (Pictured) and this item was not able to produce the same power of even a 7.5Ah battery using the "NAME BRAND" Power Station as the test device. The battery works, however when you can buy an 7.5Ah "OEM" battery from the "Big Box" store for only $70 more and receive an OEM warranty, ease of return and proven Big Box backing, why buy this? The label on the battery states it is 9Ah 453.6Wh and the OEM 7.5Ah is 420Wh, realistically this item is 7Ah 400Wh. I hope this helps you in your decision. ... show more

First this came shipped in a flimsy cardboard box with no protective padding. Mind you this is a large battery. And the package didn’t even have the required federal warning labels indicating that its a battery being shipped. Not sure how this got through the postal service… The battery is very cheaply made. The outer covering is a thin plastic, and it doesn’t feel very sturdy. The first time using it I noticed that the battery doesn’t hold its charge as well as the authentic Ego battery. I also noticed that this battery gets really hot which is a concern. ... show more

    • Saved me from replacing my mower, but don’t leave it on the charger!

I have an Ego 21-inch push mower. It had been giving me issues for quite awhile where it would just stop while I was mowing and the mower and/or battery lights would blink. I spent a bunch of time on the phone with Ego support and they determined that my mower electronics were the problem. I eventually brought the mower back to the big box store where I bought it and they sent it in to Ego for repair. I was never able to get an answer to what they did, but it seemed to be better for awhile. Fast forward to the next season and the problem started reoccurring. I was pretty frustrated and was ready to buy a new mower. As a last ditch effort I decided to try a different battery (fortunately, I could borrow one from a friend). The mower worked great with the borrowed battery. That was good, but the cost of an OEM battery was $250 — which is enough to buy a new gas mower. I was frustrated, but really like the convenience of electric. Fortunately, I stumbled on this third-party battery for $165. It is still a lot, but I figured it was worth a try. I have had it for a couple of months now and it has been great. The mower has not stopped on me once. Lesson learned: Against my better judgement, I had been leaving my original battery plugged into the charger throughout the mowing season. I knew this was not advisable from my experience with cell phones, but Ego support confirmed it when they told me the biggest support issue they face is overcharging. A vast number of customers leave their batteries plugged in all the time and this eventually kills it. I am going to do my best this time to only leave the battery on the charger until it is full, then promptly remove it. They also told me to keep the battery inside the house so it is not exposed to wide temperature swings which also shorten the life. ... show more

    • This is a Great substitute for the Ego battery.

I've had this battery for 2 months and use it every other day. It's a bigger battery than my original Ego battery so it last longer. Its heavier and sometimes shows it has lost its charge but I just reconnect it and continue use.

    • Worked once and won’t charge - now a paper weight.
Worked once and won’t charge - solid light on charger indicating either a Hot battery or defective. The battery is at room temperature so therefore is defective. Of course is outside the return window so I’m left with a brick / paper weight! It’s garbage do not buy.
