Had to put different type on there My other concern is when you have trim around doors that put one part out further if this will work correctly. I would need to put something between it and door o make them level across from each other. As far as that, mine have done what it says. Will probably get more.

I initially put the hub in my basement, but it couldn't stay connected to the garage door sensor that was roughly 15 yards away for some reason. Now I have it on the first floor about 20 feet away and it works. The range for me is about the same as WiFi, which is very disappointing. Does not come even close to the hype. Having said that, I do realize that it could be some sort of interference in my environment, or I could have a semi-defective unit. Since moving it, everything has been solid, and it works great in my camper where a zigbee contact sensor couldn't stay connected. I've also since added a plug in my garage where WIFI has trouble staying connected, and it has been solid as well. So I'm raising my review to 4 stars because it works great in the current location, but was disappointing in the place I wanted to put it. I'll probably add some more of their devices, especially if they can get it to work with Home Assistant even if my internet goes down. It's extremely simple to add devices, although I wish the icon to do that was a + button, because that would be more intuitive. Just my opinion.

I bought 2 door sensors for 2 upright refrigerators in my garage. Both sensors were easy to install and up and running with the hub with very little effort. Then one month in, one of the sensors start dropping the connection to the hub intermittently but frequently. The other door sensor, located next to the faulty one continued to work without issue. I emailed their customer service for support. This is their response: "Thank you for contacting us and choosing YoLink products! Please kindly note that the connection range between the hub and the device is 1/4 mile in the open air. The wall and metal structures can strongly affect the connection signal of the devices. Please try to move the hub closer to the sensors since the sensors are placed in the garage." CLEARLY THEY HAVE NO DESIRE TO ADDRESS THE FAULTY SENSOR. I am amending this review because their technical support finally reached out with a willingness to resolve the problem. A new sensor and relocating the speaker hub closer to my garage resolved my problem. Apparently the speaker hub has a shorter range than the normal hub so please be aware of that.

Contacted Yolink to verify. I purchased 13 door window sensors and 13 motion sensors and 8 speaker hubs. They work great as long as your internet connection is up. But basically if your internet goes down, not even your speaker hubs that are 10ft away from the hub on the same network will notify you of motion outside your house. I find that very inconvenient for home security purpose. Think about the false sense of security. You're sleeping and somebody cuts your internet wires from outside your house then manages to come through one of your doors or windows and your Yolink speaker hubs stay silent because they require internet even though they are on the same network and within range of the hub for the LoRa signal to reach. I am not expecting notifications to my phone app without internet, but I would expect their speaker hubs connected to the same network and/or in range of the LoRa signal and hub to continue to work. I will be posting this review on all my purchases of Yolink products.

Pros: Ease of installation, reliability, customer service I purchased this set as part of my overall Yolink water leak detection and shut-off system. I wanted the speaker hub in order to issue voice warnings if the freezer doors remained opened too long. The only downside to the speaker hub is that it is wi-fi only; the non-speaker hubs offer ethernet connectivity. Installation was a breeze, as it is with all Yolink components. Scan the QR code, press the "set" button, assign a unique name to the door sensor, and you are in. Programming the door sensor to issue a warning is easy and intuitive using the Yolink app. The door sensor can issue a warning if the door is open or closed more than a certain number of seconds or minutes and can re-issue this warning every 10 minutes or more until the door is closed or opened. Customer support is very good. I am very pleased with this product.

Works great. Easy connection and quick notifications to phone and hub. Setting custom tones for the alarms was a challenge - it's through "smart" configuration. I had to set up an "if, then.." scenario and assign an tone to said scenario*ie. If the door opens, this sound will play, it will notify my phone and the hub* figured it out a few tries into during set up and it works exactly as advertised. No monthly payment or anything 10/10

Go buy it and you'll be 1) happy 2) wanting to keep adding to the ecosystem Pros - Good customization in the app - Great customer support - they answer my questions - Products are consistent - easy to setup and use - Good selection of products that integrate Cons - could better integrate with other apps Example1 - Lutron doesn't connect unless you use IFTTT but inorder for you to get the best out of it, you need to have a paid subscription with IFTTT - Example 2 - Doesn't connect with Samsung Smartthings

The door sensors were easy to install. I had to shim the door mounted unit so it would line up with the door trim magnet. I’m somewhat computer illiterate so I had to call support to set it up. I talked to tech support immediately, and they walked me through it. They also programmed the hub for me remotely. I would recommend this system.
