Great mat that is a very affordable price for a yoga mat these days. I’ve gotten cheap ones at 5 & below that have fallen apart & started “peeling” after about a wk or so I decided to invest in better mats but I def refuse to spend over $20-$25 on a yoga mat unless I know it’s lasting my workouts & my clients workouts for at least a year or 2. 2 months & it’s still in perfect condition-will buy more from this company/seller when I need more !!!

I'm a guy; I don't really do yoga or much group exercise.. maybe the occasional (floor) pilates class. I do, however, like to do ab work at the gym; the mats they provide for shared use are disgustingly filthy. I recently got very sick, and attributed the only likely cause to having used one such mat the night prior. That was what made me decide to start bringing my own. For around $10, this was the one I chose. I really can't compare it to others, but I will say that I think it's perfect for my needs. It's large.. has sufficient padding for comfort.. "sticky" enough that I don't have any issue at all with my forearms sliding while doing planks.. easy to clean (I use the spray bottle at the gym after each use, prior to rolling it up).. and the color I chose (purple, mainly because it was less expensive than the other colors at the time of purchase) is different enough from the gym's mats (some blue, some black) that it should be obvious that nobody else should use it, as well as apparent that I'm not leaving with equipment that doesn't belong to me. I noticed that simply rolling the mat causes the front-side and back-side to come into contact. To keep the front-side clean, I like to first fold it in half.. then roll it up.. and tie it with a velcro strap that I had laying around.

The problem that I have had with previous "thick" yoga mats is that they curl up on the ends. This Yoga mat lays flat every time. The thickness is perfect. It works great for me. I had ACL surgery on my left knee years ago resulting in a scar across the top of my knee cap. It still feels kind of weird to put pressure on that scar. The thickness of this mat helps with that. My bare feet and hands stick well to this mat. I have not had any problem with slipping, however I have not tried this mat with hot yoga. I use this mat in all of my at home workouts and a PiYo class that I attend.

Pretty standard mat that you’d find in any yoga studio. Good amount of cushion and decent grip, but nothing special. Has a bad smell like plastic at first, but it’s gone away after a few days. Overall I think it’d be less expensive normally, but options are limited now. Didn’t like the purple color, but it was the only one available.

I bought this so that I had something to put on my floor in the bedroom for stretching and light yoga before bed. And I tossed a pretty yoga blanket on top of it so that it adds to the decor. I needed something washable because I have too many cats. This is perfect. The mat is thick enough to be very comfortable, large enough for all my yoga moves, sticky enough that I don't slide around (admittedly I do not sweat too much) and of course it's washable. And obviously I can take it with me to yoga class if I wish. In short, it does everything I need. Note: when I got it, it was tightly rolled and didn't want to flatten out. Now that it's been on the floor for a couple of weeks, it's nice and flat. For those having trouble with that I'd suggest rolling it in the opposite direction or just leave it on the floor (curled side facing down) and walk on it for a week or so. I'll flatten.

When this mat arrived and i took it to my first class, i had to stop less than halfway through to grab one of the studio's mats because I was slipping so badly. This thing was dangerously slick. Eventually, after over a year of use, I can use this mat if i have completely bone dry hands and feet. Introduce any sweat into the mix and it's just awful. I like the length and thickness of this mat, but that's it. I definitely do NOT recommend. I'm bummed that i wasted my money on it, so now i just use it under another thinner mat.

These mats are a little thin which is why I give it a four star review. Other than that, they are decent quality and do the job. I use the four I bought in my classroom for yoga in the mornings with my kids. They are more of a barrier for personal space than used for the cushion. They are non-slip, however and add a little cushion to the practice. The kids love them and it makes them feel special. If you are looking for something with more cushion, this is not the mat for you. If you are looking for a simple mat that is non slip and keeps you off of the floor, then this will definitely do the job!

This is my new favorite yoga mat. It’s thick enough to really provide cushion for hiit workouts, and comfy for all of the yoga workouts also. It doesn’t slide around and it’s still in very good condition after having it for a few weeks.
