I bought 3 Mosky pedals this week. The spring reverb, blue delay and bbox. I have all the boutique pedals and real pedals of these clones. I needed a small pedalboard to haul around to small gigs and rehearsals so I purchased these.....cheapest I think. I can't say how long they will last at thid point. They have survived 2 rehearsals and 1 gig this week alone. I am happy with them. They work for me. I use a clean Fender amp and pedals to get my sound...low watts mic'd up. Classic rock, southern rock and blues rock.....guitar hero music is what I play. No humbuckers. P90s and single coil guitars. Been playing for over 40 years. I have the best gear but no need for it. This is supposed to be like another pedal. I have never played the other pedal. But the sound quality is definitely on par with that brand. It sounds great. If you don't like this pedal, you won't like bb. It can be used into a clean amp or another dirt. Into a clean amp, it has that sound of drive blended with clean that is the style of some pedals. So there is always some smoothness even at high gain levels. It sounds sparkly and warm, and the controls have good range. You can boost lows to avoid the typical TS low end dropout. The clean-dirt blend quality makes it fantastic for boosting another distorted sound. I ran it into my favorite rat clone and it sounded like the gain channel on a much more expensive amp. This is its best use in my mind. Much thicker and warmer than a TS. I am admittedly not the biggest fan of using it into a clean amp. It is a little too pointy and smooth for me. I prefer BD type sound. But that is just personal taste. Not due to any lack of quality in the pedal. What you are saving money on when you buy this pedal is some kind of wiring problem. It gets finicky as you unplug it or plug it in and it could cause problems for your other pedals. I have read that these lack a certain grounding wire and you have to make sure you plug in power before you plug in the input cable. So I wouldn't recommend this pedal to any professionals, because of that. Just to people like me who want to cut corners and save money, or want to see if it is worth investing in a real BB. There isnt one human musician who is going to tell you...."Oh it kinda sounds like the "" but not quite" lol for this price you could buy a couple of them and give em away for Christmas! I’ve lucked out a few times with cheap pedals but the one was not any good. Noisy, noisy, noisy. By the time you get any usable gain it’s hissing like an Egyptian tomb full of snakes. Totally not worth it.

It takes a bit of tweaking, but a fantastic low/mid gain OD is definitely there... this has replaced my J. Rockett Archer, if that's any indication. The original BB preamp is well-known for use on bass guitar. It's been many years since I've played an original BB, so I can't comment on how close this clone matches the original. I can say that any bass players considering this pedal for a low gain overdrive should look elsewhere. This one is tuned for guitars. A ton of high end, and you'll lose a low of bass unless you crank the bass knob, which results in a flabby overly hyped low end. I'm getting much better luck with a 250 clone that's the same size, price and color. ... show more

This pedal is great and versatile. It gives a great overdrive tone. I bought it because it had separate bass and treble controls. I watched all the youtube reviews and comparisons to other pedals. It has a good thick crunch. Excellent value for the money. Mosky brand are my favorite budget pedals. Love it ... show more
