Quality tub refinishing kit. Followed directions and thoroughly preped the surface. I used to refinish our shower and tub. These results look great! Did take a couple kits, but worth it to cover the dingy beige color and avoided renovation. Cover area is as claimed. Cleans without issues. I would recommend if your trying to save some money, yet still get results that look new! ... show more

    • Freshens up old tubs

This paint is easy to use for a DIYer to refreshen old tubs, which is how I used it. If you prep the surface by sanding it, taping around the tub and drain, and clean thoroughly before painting, it will go much better. I used it on a 25-year old tub which had chips and rust spots, since replacing the tub was going to be an expensive proposition. I thought I'd give this a shot. After prepping the tub, I ended up painting it with three coats of paint, with an additional two coats to the inside bottom, since that's where most of the wear and rust was. I waited 2-3 hours between coats, so it took a couple days to do the job. The paint is thin as others have mentioned, so it will require multiple coats to mask any rust or discoloration on the tub. I used the included brush, so I did end up with light brush marks. A roller would be better, but I didn't have one so I just used what was included in the kit. The results are quite good as the tub has a fresh new(ish) look. How long the paint lasts is yet to be seen. One word of caution, the finished tub ended up quite slick and slippery, so I am adding a tub mat for safety. Hopefully, it will serve a dual purpose and protect the paint/finish as well. ... show more

    • Paint scratches pulls off easy

Even with three coats let and set seven days to dry it still scratches off. And I mix the paint with the activator for five minutes like the direction said. Tried to do two colors on my tile masking tape pulls the paint off the grout lines.

I used this as a touch up on my bathtub. It is an old painted enamel tub and it had some chips and scuffs from use over the years. This worked to touch those up and was easy to use. It does need several coats to sufficiently cover, but it looks great and seems to be holding up well.

I applied it two weeks ago and it’s handling daily showers just fine. No chips or obvious wear yet—which says a lot for a hobby‑grade product. Tips for best results: Scrub, sand, then wipe dust before mixing. Apply two even coats, letting each flash‑cure for an hour. Use fans or open windows—even though it’s low‑odor, I ran one for peace of mind. Avoid standing water for 72 hrs after final coat. Store leftover paint sealed tightly; I keep it in an airtight jar so I can touch up small chips later. For under $25, you get a surprisingly decent refinishing job on porcelain or ceramic—especially if you're just doing a small tub, sink, or shower surround. Low odor, compact, and easy to master if you prep right. Would I buy it again? Absolutely. Definitely one of the best DIY touch‑up tile products I’ve tried. ... show more
