I've had this puppy prison about 10 days. I have a very destructive 9 month old Aussie Bull. She has destroyed 3 regular kennels, then got to work on the linoleum! I included pictures of her work. I had to do something. It's freezing cold outside, so leaving her out there isn't an option. I looked at a lot of maximum security kennels and landed on this one because of the price and the good reviews (even though there weren't many of them). I got a coupon also that I think was for $20 off. I assembled it myself in about an hour or so. The little tools are helpful and frustrating at the same time. I don't mind the tray directly on the ground as long as she can't reach it. Since I've gotten it all put together and put to use, I've woken up to NO PUPPY DRAMA! In one picture you can see her bone on the outside of the kennel. Normally that would have caused chaos. But, in her puppy prison, she had no choice but to wait for me to release her to retrieve it. ... show more

    • Very large and durable kennel!
When I ordered this YITAHOME 38 Inch Heavy Duty Dog Crate for Large and Medium Dogs I knew it was going to be large and was supposed to be strong and durable, but when it actually came I was still shocked at how large it is and how well made the kennel is. It is definitely heavy-duty lol, I'm almost sure it would hold a small tiger it is so strong. It blows my other kennels away when you compare the metal bar thickness and stretch. It came with wheels but we chose to leave those off because we use this in a place where we don't move it around at all but the wheels are convenient and can help with moving this bulky kennel around if that is what you need to do. I have two smaller dogs so this large crate works well for them to sleep in. Since they are both under 14 pounds they have plenty of room to sleep at night and then we let them out during the day when we are not away from the house. They love the space and are happy we can get both of their soft beds in the kennel so they can be as comfortable as possible while they sleep. This would be perfect if you have a high-stress pup that needs to be contained during certain times as it is spacious and they would be contained but not cooped up in a small space. They wouldn't be able to get out at all because the kennel is so secure. It was pretty easy for my husband to assemble and easily cleaned when it was needed. I like to clean it weekly and sanitize it so it stays clean for the pups and it is easy for me to do that. Overall we are enjoying it and glad we ordered it. ... show more

Would not recommend for medium to small dogs. The slots are a lot wider apart than pictured and the waste pan has to sit on the floor. Everytime you lift the lid up it comes apart off the welded hinges. Not happy with my purchase!

    • The Ideal Choice for a Calmer Large Dog
The setup of this kennel with three doors is truly convenient; I can enter and exit from different angles without the need to navigate around constantly. Moreover, its size is just right for my large to medium-sized dog—it doesn't feel cramped, nor does it seem too spacious. He seems to enjoy staying inside, and anxiety has always been a challenge for my dog at home. However, after using this kennel, I've noticed that he is more at ease. I believe this might be attributed to the kennel's sturdy and stable construction, providing my dog with a sense of security. Sometimes I find him willingly going in on his own, probably feeling that it's a safer place. What satisfies me the most is the anti-escape feature. With previous kennels I've used, my dog always found a way to escape, causing me a lot of headaches. But the design of this kennel is truly ingenious, and I no longer worry about his escape issues. The addition of wheels is also very practical. Since we often need to move the kennel around, having wheels makes it much more convenient—it's effortless. Overall I was happy with this cage: Likes: - durable construction; the material is strong and appears like it will last as it is painted well (and uniform) and welded nicely anyplace it needed to be, but solid cast in most places. - fairly easy assembly - heavy duty, NOT your flimsy wire cage - wheels for easy mobility - smaller divisions of the posts so it’s less easy to get paws through to claw at things Dislikes: - after assembly and adjustments I feel like I had to “push” the lid closed and secure it rather than it just hinging shut nicely - the raised floor held up by just 6-8 bolts makes me a little concerned Fido weight will eventually break this, but she hasn’t yet - only two wheels lock which means it moves a little still and I think is unsettling to the dog - I wish the floor was solid; it can be comfortable to lay on even with a blanket or bed you’d feel the metal posts; I’m planning to add a sheet of plywood. Overall decent product, some improvements could be made. ... show more
