I received only 1 big box to start with, wasn't exactly sure what I was getting. It was the evaporator that goes outside, but it had the hoses and a few other things. So I installed it. But kinda didn't know if there was another part to it. Luckily the 2nd box arrived the next day, and it started making sense how it fit together. Zero instructions, but who reads those anyways, lol. I installed the cooler blower part inside and drilled a hole thru the wall for the pipes. Everything seemed super easy. But then when I tried connecting the unrolled pipes together, nothing fit. There were caps on the pipes from the blower that were on real tight. I was hesitant to remove them, but figured I had to, so I did. Either allot of gas came out, or went in. I think went in, therefore it must have been vacuumed fully. Figured I should get an AC vacuum, luckily I had one laying around I could use. I connected all the pipes and also went looking for my AC gauges I knew I had somewhere. Found them and decided to vacuum the lines. I've installed home AC like decades ago, so kinda rusty. However nothing would fit the split systems connections. Eventually figured out you need to buy a special connector to be able to connect to their ports. Only 5 or 6 dollars, but totally needed. It came the next day, and I got back into it. That's when I figured they'd shipped the evaporator with the freon already in the lines. Genius, I was so happy. What a great idea. So whatever you do, don't open the ports by mistake and let all the freon out. There's plenty of videos that help with everything, but relax, it's pretty simple and straight forward if you think logically. Suck all air outta the lines, or vacuum, then let the freon into it. If you do the process exactly in the correct order, no problem. Wire everything up and turn it on. My house is tiny, 900sq ft, this thing keeps it icy cool. And it's friggin silent, wow. You just can't hear it. Finally new tech has cought up and everything is 3 phase motors, just like your ceiling fans. And you know you can leave your ceiling fans on forever and it doesn't even effect your electric bill, same with this, awesome. I hooked up my amp meter, it only pulls 1.7 amp... Yesssss. Compressor and 2 high power fans. I leave this on all day long it's so economical on power. And then, I just discovered yesterday, it's got friggin Wi-Fi and smart stuff capable. Wow. I got it hooked up to Alexa no problem. Luckily it works with smart give app which seems to the generic Chinese app now, which is great. What an amazing deal for under 500. I'm buying another it's so awesome.

I installed myself one of the easiest units I have ever installed A Recommendation for diy this unit must be vacuumed linset and evaporator was not nitrogen charge took over 3 hours for me to get the moisture out But unit runs amazing Very efficient Good quality and half the price of my cost. I installed in 45 minutes but had to vacuum 3 hours I had to triple vacuum. If your going to just hook this unit up and run it will not last long.

There’s no yeti app, it’s a 3rd party app and can’t install since WiFi doesn’t work. Tech short keep saying they are busy and call back later. No online help. This is a terrible app and customer service. Worst I’ve ever experienced.

The unit needed more outside support to install it than I imagined. But it seems to work quite well. It’s nice and quiet. The only real problem is finding a manual to explain how the different modes work and setting temperatures. I downloaded a manual that I found, and it still didn’t explain anything as far as settings. Update… i’m not sure how the thermostat works because I put the unit set to 77 and it keeps the room about 72. Then I set it to 80 hoping that it would warm up and it did not. I have contacted customer support and I’m waiting for them to help me. The troubleshooting that came with the manual has nothing to do with using the remote. Having no instruction on the remote is the big problem. Also having to hire an AC guy to install it when I thought it was some thing we could do ourselves was a little disheartening. It caused more to have it installed then to buy it.

I bought this because a friend bought the same unit in 110v for his garage and it works great. I thought I ordered the same one but ordered the 220 volt by accident. Amazingly it worked in air conditioning mode well would not make heat. After contacting support I found that I had ordered the 220 by mistake.And when I hooked up the correct voltage at work perfectly.

Came with an owners manual that had little to guide installation. However there are YouTube videos for other brands that are almost all the same. I did the install with a helper and then had my HVAC guy finish up the charge and final electrical connection. Was concerned buying this without any prior reviews but it all worked out. I'm in Texas so this week temp has been from 32 to 80 degrees and it heats and cools nicely.

At 1/3rd the costs of most high efficiancy Mini Splits. I will be using this as my main source of heat/cooling most days, with my old HVAC as a backup. I may add a second on my second floor if needed. 1200 sq ft house. I live in Central Michigan so we have all 4 seasons.
